I struggle to stone Style because he always runs away :-(
Joking - On a serious note though can only echo what Style and above said, its a nightmare to land it on someone due to what I can only assume to be lag because im either next to them or sometimes infront. Cheers Fin

"FINITO"There should not be a delay for Stone it should cast the same as 4th knuckle / sword. Unless the client is using the animation length as a timer before sending the attack (not sure need to check). Yes, the animation is definitely causing a delay. If you use stone and someone moves/gbirds, the stone affect can do the following: 1) Instantly cancel. 2) Show the character in location A when they're really in location B. 3) Freeze them a couple of spaces away from where you initially hit them. All 3 outcomes occur more often than actually successfully paralysing someone!

Cast Animation time for 4th knux is 1.3 seconds and Stone is 1.4 seconds. So thats not much of a difference. Anyway going to make the animation really slow to confirm if it makes any difference or not and go from there.
Edit: Animation time has nothing to do with when the stone is applied it happens straight away. So there is no difference with something like 4th knux so I don't know why it is that you can manage to attack with that but not Stone.

Thanks for testing Fin.
Due to feedback can we possible look at 1.5/2 range if so? or something to possible counteract the issue we are seeing with stone in the delay? This actually doesn't directly benefit me btw as I'm dropping axe in a few days but its an annoying issue for other axers I'm sure.

I agree its annoying when u cant get it off but range 2 is a big no for me personally axe is so OP allready, there are other class's that need more attention..[/quote]

I'm not a soma professor by any standard. But if you duel log - often you see chars in different places on each screen. Could it be in relation to that? Is that what you mean? ;o

Well only thing looking into atm is the possible difference between casting other auras that have range 1 and stone. But I don't notice any difference.

Then if we do not notice any difference we have to take into account the latency aspect perhaps? I'm not saying people can land 4th knux/5th sword etc. 100% of the time however there is an issue somewhere with the stone aura, 100% of axe users can vouch.
Range 2 is a bit OP however its so frustrating trying to stone someone without a bind or 'force walk' ingame, run to one map to the other etc. Perhaps range 2 for 5th only?

Maybe 2 handed axes have a range of 2 when casting stone, and stone should defo reduce df dex!

Stone needs to stay range 1, same as 4th Knuckle. Its part of the game. If you change stone to range 2 youve got to change 4th knuckle to range 2. Dont think anything should be changed.
Plum stoned me a few times while i was running, didnt see any problem.. |
