Slight change to 3rd/5th axe.

Author Content Date
Thoughts on having 3rd + 5th stone duration based on str not level?

Seems that most people just power-lvl int, then skill axe.

Surely the real axe users should get the advantage?

Based on Skill would be best, else a Devil Axer's stone would last forever.

I'd say something needs tweakin with it, weather that's as mentioned or giving it a minimum time, as a fresh axe gets 3rd and the aura is usless till they get higher level

I think basing it on str is a good solution. However, a change would be required. It would balance it between your own race but make dsoma 5th last too long against HSoma.

Therefore if you had it work on a ratio of your strength, you could balance it.
I.e HSoma every 10 str above opponent adds 1 second
Dsoma every 20 str above opponent adds 1 second

Just a thought. I don't have any experience on how it really works based on lvl.

Seems like the most logical actually.

Nothing to do with the thread but for the curious on how it currently works:

However some system based on str could be a nice addition.

3rd or 5th needs to be range 2, perhaps only 5th? Latency coupled with no root spell/aura is just ridiculous at the moment trying to stone someone.

Or

Have stone reduce the targets dex by 10%? Maybe only dsoma?

Not derailing the thread I agree with skill based stone time - have a guildie that is leveling an axer and the dex is just ridiculous.. with no power aura can't see them having a good time.

As an axer I don't agree with range 2. However, reducing dex by a % is a very good idea. Would give dsoma axers a role in dsoma pvp.

Do you even have stone yet? If so have you ever tried using it against another play who's moving?

Yes, let's buff the auras of a class with the best auras. /sarcasm

Seriously, though. I wouldn't mind a skill-based timer or a STR-based on the stone.

Have had a huge amount of experience with stone, not on this server tho. You can't just make an aura range 2 because you have trouble hitting a target that moves. With that theory you make all melee auras range two. That is not a solution to anything.

Clearly don't know what you're talking about then, run up to a target with a 4th aura such as knuckle/sword and its instant, there's a delay with stone.

This, at least you can land the other auras.

There should not be a delay for Stone it should cast the same as 4th knuckle / sword. Unless the client is using the animation length as a timer before sending the attack (not sure need to check).

I don't know what happens with it.

But one of the reasons I dropped axe, was because I always lagged/bugged when trying to use it and could never get it off.

I see and hear of others struggling as well.
