Isn’t that the problem we have at present regarding gems how diamonds and rubies seem to be the main items players need/want for various upgrades.

Surely we need to move away or start to move away from the gems???

Edit - the idea is a good one Tyrese in that it would allow more diversity different makes/builds etc.

Ye it wouldn’t even need to be gems, I was thinking maybe a way to make emeralds sapp and ame valuable again.

It could be something like skele jewels, ambers things like that.

Obviously staying away from diamonds ha!

Same I have a fair few, and I believe that’s why them new craftable bravery rings didn’t require jades to prevent someone flooding market etc.

Another reason for shifting away from use of gems for reducing recoils for newer weapons.

To be honest, even if something new was introduced, say a brand new item dropable at top end mobs, it wouldn’t take long for top players to drive prices of them up just like SD have gone up.

But it might help for a little while!

That’s true Tyrese but at least it’s a start on trying to Draw the shift away from the constant need or wanting of the diamonds for that ultimate weapon.

As it stands diamonds are used in many aspects from recoil to spell upgrades, there needs a more balanced need of items which in turn helps the economy the trading etc.

Edit - the same can be said regarding cloudy bones, in that more and more recipes now require this one item, there all tones of items in the database to use for this and that, yet every time something new comes along it’s required to use same old item within a recipe which then has a knock on effect, the need/greed of some which in turns resulting in some taking that chance on cheating etc to acquire said items without any effort which then results in infighting he did/she did this blah blah.

Add molten whelps to the palus spawn, remove passive status, up dex/hp and up the droprate. Whelps could also be farmed there.

Or remove immunity from VOD.

thinking of examples as to why drop rates of individual items must be variable, and therefore adjustable if need be.....

1. if u was after a few ct's ... would u do elders and mags or nm's? ofc ud do elder/mags

2.if u was after dt's.. would u do blg or vafers? .. ofc ud do vafers

3. if u was after ep's.. would u do palus or mags? etc etc...

just a few.... so... apart from totally crazy rng.... drop rates of individual items must be gm controlled or adjustable

probably x

So .. enhancing the di drops , adding them to some of the higher lev mobs.. and reducing the need of backtracking to df... would or could be a way of enhancing the farming experience for the higher level players

For ct’s, dt’s and ep’s I would farm completely different mobs than you mentioned..... then again I’m a different bread to most 🤪

with due respect , ur a good guy n all that.. but unless u have different mobs and maps to the rest of us...

ct/ep's don't get better than mags

the whole point of this thread i believe is about diamonds, and the need to go to df ... ye u can get them .. usually in an hour or 2 for each one.. sometimes qwikker.. sometimes slower.. but

the high lev mobs very very rarely drop them ... meaning a trip to the df for a week or so aint too pleasant an experience for the the high levs...

spose if u need a new rubber plant or a yucca plant you have to drive 10 miles to a garden centre coz you can't pick them up from the local supermarket... maybe the same mindset involved in diamond farming.. but

with capped players.... they might want the garden centre moving closer to home... where they can do their normal shopping with the hope of a diamond more than once a fortnight or month

Or..can keep up the facade that they are plentiful
