with more perks to crafting now.. and new items available/craftable... using more mats
if players are gona start using and utilising the craft system.. would make sense to show some relaxation in the stock replenishments and possibly an increase of amounts.
Encourage and incentivise potential new and existing crafters !

Forgot to mention also disassemble isn’t 100% success it can and does fail from time to time...

You get a message saying something like failed due to lack of skill 🤪

With the slight tweak to the disassemble not going as planned, and hoped in that all mats would be returned. Is there any possibility in looking at the restock amounts, frequencies of restocks being improved please.

at best.. even if 100% of mats were returned, it would only be a sticking plaster for a shortage of mats at the stores.. as at present u get back ' substandard' mats.. which if u did in bulk u would need a new warehouse
or guild to store them in, as they not the ' normal' stuff
Not sure what skill u can learn dissassemble..50-80-100 skill dunno.. but any1 having the skill to do it is proly a bit past the level of actually taking the time to do it.
Making items that u have used mag mats to make, and getting them back would be useful.. but would need the dissassemble to recognise what mats u used . mag mats or not... and what tier of weapon or armour u did..
possibly a big job to recode for the gms.

The new dissassembly is ofc something new and different, but as it stands .. it aint providing any particular advantages or making anythin easier.

Not negativity.. reality.

anyway ..
could get back a 'crafting ruby' as suggested above.. to add to a craft to add a bit of xtra attack might be useful .. or
every dissassemble gives u some points towards valour for ur 'recycling' credentials...

duno.. out of ideas.. that's up to the gm's to decide

or a few more mats in the stores..tho..that might have been asked for above? maybe? ;p

What you have to understand is when esoma came out there was no mag mats, so the disassemble skill that you can learn once you have 40 metal craft skill in either armour or accessory or weapon crafting was a way to getting top quality mats. The more craft skill in any one of the metal crafts you got resulted in more mats returned so it was and still is on benefit, just like the skill to make better quality of metal is there to be learnt. The trouble with crafting in Soma is its never been looked at, improved, tweaked etc until this server than iSylver and Finito run for free and in there own free time.

I have and always will say that the crafting in soma has huge potential, it’s just a shame it’s never had a makeover, improved much to make it much more enjoyable and fun.

The crafting system, skills, restocks etc have basically never improved over the years. I have used all the craft skills over the years and used them to my advantage in my journey, don’t underestimate them they are there to help you.

Back in esoma many players levelled on kobolds in merc which drop copper rocks and iron rocks, these were a good source for players to sell to crafters back in the day.

If you learned the smelting skill once you got 50 metal craft skill in either armour, accessory or weapon craft, you could take these to the anvil and get back quantities of copper and iron. Just like the disassemble skill the smelting skill would return more the higher your craft skill was.

Now here’s a suggestion that could help out the accessory crafters of soma....

The farm is underused and most ignore it, the leocrots at the bottom that drop alt gems, copper and iron ( 1-3 amounts per drop) why not change them to copper and iron rocks. This could help many issues for accessory crafters, these copper and iron rocks are weight 1 each so a player would be able to pick many up before needing to put in there warehouse due to bag weight. Then by taking them to smelt at the anvil they would in turn get back much more copper and iron to help them in there accessory crafting.

hmm another idea is..
those old mats that are currently produced.. could be used/ necessary... to craft the next tier of weapons/armour that might be crafted in the future
maybe
or... give those old mats the same crafting values as mag mats.. that'd make them worthwhile doin

Maybe if the farm was actually used properly and the server was still struggling for mats the gm might look to up the restock abit 🤔.

100% behind NOT upping restock while it's just out of laziness.

dear gm's

whilst increasing weapon skill .. it's resulting in losing my 70 armour skill and hence the ability to do armour sr's
you kindly gave us the ability to take one skill 50 higher....
would it be possible to add the total craft skill to 500 to avoid this inconvenience...

got highish pot skill and highish wep skill.... can't increase weps without losing armour...atm anyway

will be plenty of players at the current 450 total cap in a similar position with different skill values of various things...
giving us 50 more to gain... would be nice to increase that cap from 450-500 so losses aren't incurred.

Alternative is telling these players they have to make another character to make up the craft skills and sr's they currently have...
some players have a few characters.. so maybe this isn't a biggy.. but for some.. it might be
