This damage is a bit silly for a Valour Wep

For the sake of regularity, here is a (in)complete list of reason why “Bow” should not be nerfed …

Bow is useless against Devils.

Bow users cannot go solo killing Magmas for their spoils unless they have elevated another class/trait first.

Bow dodge aura is weaker than its counter-parts.

All weapons (except bow) were buffed. Therefore bow does less damage than other weapons.

Bow durability is lower than counterpart weapons.

Bow is the only weapon to lose durability with a “miss”.

Bow (Dex build characters) lacks strength.

Bow DPS (per se) is the lowest of all weapons.

With regards to PvP, the most effective form of attack is with a group. A combination of stone, weaken and blasts of DB “appear” to be the most desirous.

How many people died in a 1vs1 PvP battle against a bow (whilst not using a bow themselves)? How many died to other weapons/circumstances?

In the world of PvE, a bow allows a character to engage a creature at distance (which is an advantage for sure). The lack of strength, however, slows the kill. Dura rape may be equitable but the lower attack stats of the bow and the lack of strength suggest levelling speed is mitigated.

Bow recoil has been nerfed in the 2018 patch

Honestly it makes the proccess of getting it not worth it at all...


All the Valour Scrolls
All the Diamonds to make SS's (Some will fail)
240 Skill (I'm still not 250 for the most damage)
The risk to upgrade it to a decent speed.

All this so I can do 100 damage per hit in a world were we now have 150HP pots and 200HP pots...
This change really makes no sense at all I'm sorry...


if we were on psycho/nega bows and the change was in i would have agreed with you but valour bows have massive attack and on hsoma you can make a decent fast one even on +5 ss the change is kinda needed

2 of the greatest additions to improve the myth of soma..

The upgrade ui to allow players to see if there upgrades are a success or fail now, which now gives everyone peace of mind.

Range attack reduction, allows all weapon types to be useful once again.

The problem is soma is so basic and has no dashes, varied attack animation, stuns (apart from 5th which you need range 1 for) no movement slows and no real gap closers at all making the whole game cat and mouse, because in soma if you don't want to die it's as simple as just running.

I think the change negatively effects pvp at least, the only way they can balance it is to bring in the slows/stuns etc other games have.

I’ve got a dex mage, but why should I be hit from range 7 at the same speed and same damage as a range 1?

If you're wearing full eva set + dex access you should be quite fine tbh. Staff even has an eva aura...

It's literally your fault if you get rekt by fast bows. But you're lucky because no bows are wrecking you at all now. Psycho bows / Horned bows do laughable damage from range 6.

And I also feel that this whole buff came in to prevent this op damage that the new Valour bow has.

Honestly IMO the nerf is dumb, it ain't needed at all. If you're getting hit it's because of char / gear diff and you should be getting wrecked.

I don't even have a Valour Bow anymore but I just know it's almost pointless getting one due to the stupid debuff. It'ss crazy to think that 10 years later something so game changing would be added to the game...

I mean if feels as if the whole debuff was introduced to nerf Knight, But you still have to be able to hit. And if you're a str mage crying about the damage well thats your fault not the bows fault and quite frankly a lot of people here are mages crying to keep it in because they benefit the most and we all know which alliance holds the most mages.

This is literally what happens when you don't have a council that actually pvps and tells you this will be bad. You're just giving mages more reign over the game. Now you need to Stand super close to do any damage with a bow, Specially if you don't have a Valour bow.

My problem isn’t with being hit though, it’s why should a range 7 weap hit at the same speed and damage as a range 1?

Feathers have double cool down. You now cannot cast feather and proc is now locked to two as well as our DMG over range is even more nerfed than bow as our spell are already DMG capped. Should I make a post too or just on with it?

It's not my fault you made a character or gear that cannot survive 24 procs at once....

LOL the dmg over distance change was going to be in way before knight even made his bow.

I agree with you, the pvp system should not be gettting touched at all...

Like I accept it because I only have 125 INT on Leo so It makes sense if I got 1 or 2 shotted with proc from a good mage pvper

But I can't accept that they're doing this to the game, no1 is going to be pvping anymore.

I would be happy if they just revert everything the proc nerf and the range debuff. Like cmon, why the hell are they even changing things in 2021??? when the UC has been at it's lowest and the same people pvp against eachother.
