I miss...

I love Finito dont get me wrong, hes a nice guy and has a good heart, but I cant help but feel like Dans influence was part of this whole influence that veered Soma away from what made it great, especially when Somadev forums was actually thriving.

Completely agree. For me it was obvious from the start that Dan/Isylver had…some affinity…with players that evidently caused problems and we’re often complained about on the forums and in game. His continued support of game mechanics that only led to him having to manually intervene always seemed absurd. I can only reconcile that by assuming that he enjoys it and thus is supportive, to some extent, of the behaviour that necessitates such intervention.

Who did he play on Esoma?

"YEOLDE"I miss the beginning of the server where we had several different guilds and the koreans/chinese were mysterious and in most cases another enemy.

I miss the old PK system where your guild would come to your aid instead of telling you to buy immunity pots or allow the griefing.

I miss all weps that aren't those god ugly valour weps.

I miss soma :(

It hurts how much I agree with this. I miss this, the ppl not playing anymore, the journey.
Most influential game of my life... this game was not about endgame, it was about getting there and having ppl all different levels and strengths.
don't get me wrong, the game is alot better except these things in my opinion. (off the top of my head)
rate increases (endgame)
fresh new players (not fixable anymore I doubt)
Val Weps/armours
lack of mobs that kick ure ass (no more guild mob hunts)...

Also, is there a way to bring out a single player version of soma without need for a server. would be nice to have a copy to mess around in. (I know nothing of how these things work)

100% agree with this... Called Finito out on this at one point and Isylver pulled out ban hammer on multiple players.
That crackhead hobbit would bring out a bot.. show GMs how to fix along with other stuff and repeat.

Everyone mentions a side bot I know for well played on DL from like lvl 50 to 75ish and was offered a bot there months playing this server which was made by that crackhead hobbit. (This was when server was heaving)

The VK/Korean alliance well seems like this alliance got issued more bans harsher punishments for years than DL despite both side been buying, selling botting and whatever else people like to do to cheat.

Do come now and then in hope as winter months are coming again is it worth investing time in this game.
sadly 100% cannot invest time into this game.
