Also just like to add people need to consider the source of the information that it's this guy that bought Zyzz that's carrying out the ddosing.

Firstly it came from the original Zyzz, hardly an unbiased source.

Secondly, it started before the char was reclaimed, as far as I'm aware.


People just need to chill out, it's a game. Do something else until it's sorted. I think all of this nonsense is purely because people are bored while the server is down. once it's back up this will be forgotten about in a few days.

"NOTMAT"What Iceblue said is correct, this sort of thing is just extra hassle that iSylver, Finito and Ghostlord don't need, they already have to put up with enough shit.

If people want to go to small claims court or whatever it is then they have the right to do that, but people need to get a grip and realise that this shit is just ruining iSylver, Finito and Ghostlord's hard work that went into creating something for us to play that is 100% free.

If you buy a character and it gets taken back however long down the line, that's your problem so deal with it on a personal level whichever way you choose. People bought and sold characters all the time on Esoma and most of the time it would end up a complete fucking mess.

Buy a character at your own risk, the GM's shouldn't have to police this sort of shit unless they feel strongly against it. Keep any drama related to it off the forums and appreciate what we've been provided with for free. Without this server there would be fuck all.

This isn't aimed at anyone/any particular posts its just my general opinion.

People keep talking about this legal rubbish will a) give a bad impression to any prospective new players, and b) make sylver think 'screw this it's not worth the hassle'. Just needs to be dropped. It's ridiculous.

This so called legal rubbish is what keeps people from been ripped off how whould you like it if you want and pay for some thing let say a car then it was taken away? what you going do just laugh it off? and lose all the money you payed for it? you all say soma just a game it is but in stuff like this it not just a game.

How can selling your account not be a violation on this server but it's an instant perm ban on EVERY other mmo.

We have to punish those who deserve it regardless of repercussions it's damaging to the server. I don't even know the guys involved but I feel his pain. I'm just losing faith and it's a shame it's things like this that kills games. Especially when the community sees it going unpunished.

Good, we need a case like this to scare potential traders of. Whats a better scare tactic then 'lose your money gain nothing'?

Also Blizzard is part of the biggest gaming corporation in the world. Let's not compare ourselves to them as we are a 2 man team + an advisor.

Also we have no real legal foot to stand on ourselves as there's no real EULA for this game.

I typed the rules out myself, there's nothing in there about characters trading but if it pleases the communty and the staff I could add:

Whoever buys chars know the risks when doing so, they only have themselves to blame when it backfires.

If a verbal contract is made then broken it dont matter if it is just a game or not. Law is what it is that is all i was pointing out. But if it was me personally i would take any one who ripped me of to the cleaners. As for what thematt said i think you will find gm's (somadev) are part of it as it has gone on through there business. so like i pointed out before they be silly if they did not sort there terms & conditions out and all so the rest of there legal problems. The game might be free to play but it dont change the law.

The toons are owned by the game not the user. <full stop
So, there is no legal sale OR purchase of the toon.

If a friend lets you use their car, It is not your's to sell.
