That may mean people achieving 100% evasion though.

IMO shanis should be made to give same stats per xp as BLG. Not as good drops there but a suitable 'transition' mob from palus to blg without needing a healer or wasting xp.

It's only lvl 70/80+ where the grind really settles in. Having to use a healer is like a double hit to the pain. Making the lvling more smooth at these levels would really help.

Prisms were introduced as a suitable transition mob to NM. just think melee needs tweaking slightly.

I'd like to reply to comments made at the start of this thread . I quit soma on this server a few months ago now , not that I was fed up or any issues tbh with game content , I left the game due to Bradley cole . I got fed up of being monitored and pestered while trying to play a game in my spare time. . I wish everyone the best happy levelling .

Goolies .... Bradley (allegedly) quit. His character still plays but he assures us he is a "mate" and not the original.

How true that is ....... ?

What is wrong with achieving 100% evasion ?

On Esoma is was tough enough to do (except for things like the +10 dex winners necklace) but was it not the case you only really had 100% evasion against mobs you didn't really want to hunt anyway (because you had exceeded their benefits) ?

"JACKELPUP"If you want players who have left to come back you need to consider why they left.

Personally it was the level cap that made me quit even though I never hit it on Acaelus. Once we got to 85ish I knew the scope to 'get ahead' was gone. And for me thats whats soma is all about. The super hardcore want to stay ahead of the hardcore, the hardcore want to stay ahead of the semi casual an the semi casual want to stay ahead of the casual etc etc.

I'm sure if I kept playing Acaelus would of capped not long after Plum and I would of just immediately quit like he did, so what was the point? Before long the 'hardcore' will catch you up and you might as well be playing cod or something as your all on a similar playing field. The point of soma has been bled out once everyone is 100, you may as well restart the server.

Cater the game to the casuals and you lose your hardcore+ players. Thats what happend to warcraft after BC.

Just my opinion :P

That.

The fact you'd have to use healers if you ignored that.

That the game is channeled through bosses.

That the drops on every monster other than BLG are anemic and that once at BLG it goes to the opposite nonsensical extreme.

How long do u think this server will last? Will it make two years? If so how many ppl will still be playing? Will jackelpup have capped by then? Will FT still be hated just for having the most solid group of members who don't guild hop depending on who has gvw.? Will nebulaa still be able to log on with 100 int and actually pk ppl? Will Isylver still hate me?
