Make it free to warp if you own conti and cost somewhat highly if you don't to warrant winning conti plsty, much love.

The reason I don't like it;
- DSoma it's only useful for barr (lol?) and abyss weapons. Which have been deleted/removed I believe.
- HSoma only main use was MWUN the rest was a side attraction for the bored tourists.
- Elixers don't work anymore so that becomes useless.
- It's a lame copy of D4, why would you use that one? -.- Might as well upgrade D4 instead!
- Bosses aren't in line with ours and they'll be too weak now. Gorshak > MWUN


If abyss was in reimplemented it'd have to be slightly altered too. Ie:
- Different map
- More exciting quests with proper rewards for both races (barr can/will be a part of this but never should it be the only use of a quest). Preferably a chain or even a server/guild-wide progress.
- New / different bosses
- A better lay-out - why would you start in the middle? Such a waste of explorability! It's easier to get lost if you start in a corner.
- It has to be bigger without feeling huge. You should be able to get lost, but never losing hope of finding your way.
- Why two seperate maps? We could just allow RvR and make the server check who kills the mob, then the drop is for that race.
- Could put the warp on conti. The race who owns conti will have an easier time getting into the abyss, but the other race should be allowed too at this time.
- Could even make it a treasure map as how abyss was meant. With a timer. Maybe even a pre-quest that gives you a ticket to enter?

i think it would be better to make it so who ever Doesnt own conti CANT use abyss atall!

my main desire from Abyss is

1) Farming of items whether they are obtainable on regular maps or not
2) A mob where by it requires a guild to hunt them rather than a solo affair which will deter the use of pilots etc just farming solo. Not saying every mob doing unreal dmg and lasting 40 mins but to have high enough hp you wouldn't really consider going without 3 people and a healer/slower or something.

Soma can be a very solitary linear game and I think the working with your guild could be a fun element. Mixed race bosses would need a lot of balancing ... not entirely sure how that would work.
I don't think it would need to be overly complex and innovative with new mobs, skins, drops etc. I think people just want an alternate to the current norm.

I also like the idea of conti holders only - making the warp npc in castle map or something ;o

None of this justifies why it's not added though. Simply change the mob drop files and remove the bosses for now and add new ones in a later patch if need be...

You're overcomplicating things like the majority of people do in this forum. iSylvers, Finitos and your time is clearly limited. I genuinely do not see the point in making drastic changes or "improvements" as it will never end up happening or if it does it'll take a year to get it done as you're all busy with work/personal lives.

I like the idea of either merging Abyss so both dsoma and hsoma can enter, or make it only for the holders of conti, but to me there are issues with this:

Firstly, if both races could go in at the same time, there is the never-ending balance issues.

Secondly, if the map was only open to conti holders, it's inevitable one race will go weeks without owning it and people will moan.

Iphios mentioned it, but mobs difficulty being such that it requires a group of people to kill would be fantastic. Enhances the community aspect of the game, which is what keeps us all playing.

What if abyss was still 0% exp off mobs just for questing after level 100
a None pvp map and humans and devils could work together as well whilst questing (would be very large or hard quests that would bring everybody together)

I would say the main point of this thread is a call for more content.
We are aware of time constraints of Devs
Ghost Lord has stated why abyss cannot just be popped back in and how pointless it is for Devils
This is not esoma, this has taken years for a reason to be better and more sustainable
This is not "slither" slapping in some half thought out content they later realise was a mistake

I would say the main point of this thread is a call for more content.

This is about giving people something to do that wouldn't require much work. Ghostlord has stated why it can't just be re-added with no changes made but that's not what I'm asking for. Simply change the drops for the mobs and that's a start. Quests and bosses etc can be added through patches at a later date if necessary.

I don't actually think you have any idea what you're talking about if I'm honest.

Lack of time to change it is justification enough. Anyway whether you find it 'justifiable' or not doesn't matter. It wasn't added in the launch, let's just leave it at that. I predict It will not be reintroduced in the form that it is now.

As for the list, it's a list. I make them in a personal brain storm session and I type them out, they don't all have to be used. If I retype it like this it'll probably seem less complicated (all is optional - in order or easiness):
- Put the gateway to conti (either for owning race or both races)
- Make it RvR
- Change the warp location
- Update bosses
- Re-do quests
- Re-do map or slight alteration to existing map

Out of this list the boss and quest update is a must. Otherwise you might as well add 5 bosses and a few farm mobs to existing maps.

I understand what you're saying I just don't see the logic. Re-add Abyss so people have somewhere to hunt for items, that's all there is to do at end game soma. Updating bosses and adding quests can be done over time in patches. I don't see what's wrong with having an area where people can hunt purely for drops (from mobs that have a much better drop rate and are a lot stronger) and gain no experience.

If the Abyss map is such a problem in general then just remove all the totally useless mobs across Hsoma and Dsoma and add mobs that can be hunted purely for drops in their place. But wouldn't this be just as much work (if not more) than having the Abyss map?

Just want something to do endgame that doesn't involve afking all day for a boss and only login for events :/ Absolutely nothing to do on Dsoma once you hit 100 which is kinda sad.
