"LUPISCUS"So much wanted... so many different opinions.. Fast levelling for lower/med levels might be a good idea.. but not until there's something definite in the pipepline for the future and a lev cap increase.. otherwise its just gona be every get to lev cap in a week or 3... and we gona be left with even more of a gear + game.. its the gear + thats making things a bit like hard work atm.

Restart a dual server from scratch.. at esoma levelling rates... ie..damn slow, and use this server as a test server for new , improved, updates that dont have to be done quick, and time can be put into them.

MMorpgs are about time invested, stats and being stronger than the next person.. Not who can farm blg 24/7 for a few more rubies and a bit more luck witht he upgrading. lets get back to playing for stats.. for pvp .. for playing for fun.. rather than this gear chase.. At least until something better and not just speculation, wishes and possiblilties have been sorted into something thats workable.

Tbh.. nothing in this thread really makes any sense.. so much contradiction.. different ideas.. and no1 really has a clue what to do next. many ideas ..mostly different..
Get soma re-started and get the fun going again. Im sure more ppl would rather a restart than a fudged update that undoubtedly most ppl will only be moaning at

Accept defeat over DSoma.

Bring back Abyss, and map every boss drop onto monsters that are impossible to solo, but can be hit and run, because there's no point playing a game where the only way to access drops is through boss monsters.

And please find a way to make the rest of VoD interesting so people aren't forced to go down a one dimensional leveling route that involves massively under hunting the top monster from the very damn start.

At the very least switch BLG/Shanis/Akah/Apus stats so people can't skirt around the toughest mobs to hunt with healers in the game.

And give Magic monsters some interesting drops, it's not that hard.

the uc dropped bcoz of us, i dont c y we are moaning now, Chinese are gone playing private server, we are here looking for updates, lots of players i knew quit like 2 yrs ago u no, we cant expect sumthing huge after all the shit we have moaned about,
i quit coz i like turtles

It would be good if you don't have to rely on AoE spells e.g frostwind to farm these new mobs. Or even if they aren't AoE'able at all. Frostwind farming becomes boring quickly and is what most of the level 100s have been doing since they capped.

"RAVER"revamp of conti would be good, move current hunted weaker mobs to castle map and added loadz of hard group hunting mobs to conti main map.


This would take too much time.

I am toying with a sort of token drop per kill which can later be used at an npc. One option is to put this on the conti only versions.

The main reason you'll want groups is because it will be a rather small area with more a higher than usual amount of mobs. On top of this it'll be a mix of mobs rather than just one type. Ie a warrior, rogue and mage mob.

maybe bonus drops rates on rare stuff, the more people in the party the better rates and free for all drops

But thinking about it now should added to all mobs or at least group mobs and bosses

The game has been about gear +'ing for a long time now. Adding farming mobs is just gona allow the already ''well endowed'' ppl to get btter equips than they already have.
Ppl who left 3-5-7- months ago are already miles behind with equips. Just making a new farming mob to get drops for upgrades etc isnt gona entice these ppl back. They so far behind.. what chance do they have of catching up the ' gear chase'?

Soma needs a lev cap +, with stats to be gained. It needs new equips and armours that have stats that maybe with +2 or +3 have similar def/att to the current +5 stuff that is widely used by many ppl atm.

Farming mobs is a nice intermediate update, but to get back some of the players long gone.. u have to give them a chance to return and compete. Some of the gears in game atm are obscenely good. No1 gona return with no chance of catching up.
We're probably looking at a month or 2 , maybe more, before these 'farming mobs' are introduced. The Gm's have done a great job here.. but they been busy with rl.
Updates by xmas this year are about 12 months too late.
Gear +ing is ok if u have great craft skills and time to farm.

more levels.. more stats.. and new armours that can compete with a couple of upgrades.

And.. we need these drops from normal mobs...hard mobs mayb.. not just bosses.
Bosses are for the number 1 guild ( and their silent allies) .Other ppl need a chance for drops.

There just isnt enough bosses and drops for all the players that need these items

( ppl botting, getting banned and ppl selling/buying/ reclaiming characters hasnt helped either) wasting gm's time

What about adding new quests for intense item of a selection, most people only have rare/epic upgraded. This would give everyone the same change for intense gear

Obviously high level quest that requires multiple amounts of different monster kills

Most people have epic/ intense anyway! Just not upgraded!

And theres still legendary tag which needs drop rate sorting!

Surely it wouldnt take too long to change cap to 110, and up blg/nm stats by 40 ?

Dsoma already has the mobs in place, yes theres the problem of str creeping to far ahead on some class's but s0rcs idea of equal str gains on all class's is the perfect solution, (no class has to punch for str!) and knux/archer damage will remain the same towards axe!

Farming mobs are a good idea for dsoma, but does hsoma even need them or will it create an undair advantage on returning players? Maybe add ivory armour to the farming mobs as its already premade and in the db!

I'm sure the GMs would like a level cap increase as much as most players would right now, but I suspect they have bigger plans than just adding a few new monsters and so many extra levels for an update like that.

The current update being worked on should be enough to keep the game going for a while longer if done properly.

Adding a farming monster is essentially like increasing the level cap, just the stats are gained by upgrades rather than gaining exp. I agree with Lupi's point, new armour and/or weapons that are worth upgrading may need to be added to set apart the half upgraded gear people already have.

Why do you need new weapons? Wasn't there a post a while back about how 'noone has gorshak weapons' (overstated)?

Simply upgrading BLG isn't an option. How would you move on from Shanis to BLG? Bij magically jumping 20 str? It's not that easy. That said, making a new mob doesn't take long. We would however, would need approximately 4 mobs per race, 2 STR and 2 INT. Along with drops and new stuff (lvl cap increase warrants new stuff).

DSoma also has issues with armor drops and a lot of people still could find a way better weapon than they have now. New stuff sounds nice and all but it'd be a shame to 'waste' existing content.

There's another way to look at it - the farming mobs can be used to maximise the use of current content. Just think of how many dsoma upgrades are actually used.

HSoma drop list is done. I'm glad to say we have more than 70 unique drops spread out over the mobs.

DSoma will need some work to reach a good range of drops too.
