Dsoma Mages & MAIN Bosses kill speed is out of control.

Read part of the thread and got bored...


Just to point a few things out in kindergarden language,

No human is safe in Conti

Coven dont share all chars

Coven has helped the most players with items etc

Insane pampth takes 20mins to die with myself and an axer...

The only way to make a DSOMA boss slightly balanced is to give it no dex and 999999999999 str/int and about 1500hp and even then axe/knux would have better odds. Due to speed

Throwing insults towards members of coven because youve lost your dummy with s0rc/laz isnt going to get you anywhere at all, nor is this shit moaning thread

After an afternoon out with my baby boy it's so good to see everyone is getting on so much better now...
Just to mirror Deimos though Coven are very helpful to new players when it comes to armour and weps.
I hope you can all find happiness in your boss killing!

I commute a lot while working, forums make the journey less dull.

There is no alliance between Coven and DL. Never has been.
Just raided conti with laz, goat and kekket earlier to get Cheatah, Linkdx and Chronos.
Last I checked 2 of the 3 are DL members.

At the start, people used to say we were allied with No Mercy (yonks ago) and now we're apparently allied with Dark Legacy.

Feed usually speaks for itself, we kill any humans.

S0rcerer will add in his favourite word "hyperbole" and to that I pre-emptively say, no it's not hyperbole it's fact and clear to see for everyone who actually plays dsoma. "player feed" and boss announcements make this timing quite easy.

The fact you have the two most powerful mages in the same guild with the ability to trace does exacerbate the problem even further I suppose but isn't the root problem.

Shironim spawn announced ingame, and within a few minutes (the time it would take someone to run to shironim) he is dead, Lazarus has killed shironim every 10 hours on the button for weeks (months?) I cant even run there before it's dead, let alone pot up and get there. Let alone the fact he has 300 def dex and melee can't hit it. This boss is the go-to boss for weapon drops for mid level players and is monopolized WAY too much by mages it's so obvious, it's just making the strong stronger.

Dionaea - spawns at bottom of hwan, by the time I tp'd. bought pots and got there it was dead from lazarus. (under 6 minutes)

Tiresias - by the time I'd messaged s0rcerer to ask where its cords are (never been here before) it was dead by lazarus. (under 4 minutes) ((im pretty sure Dan actually already upped this guys MD but obviously no difference seen)

Insane Pamoth spawned after Sacred stone event, within 4 minutes it was dead by lazarus (coven claim this was 4 people but look at insane pammy's defence vs archer and knux attack and you'll see how this makes little difference)

when you speak to laz and s0rc they claim isylver is making all mobs impossible to be killed by mage but any boss that's worth anything is killed by mages more than anything else by a country mile.

the damage that is being distributed by these mages with full flame gear is absolutely sickening, just watch s0rc or laz hitting dummy lol. 700+ hits with a constant barrage of capped flame damage which outdamages most non-capped players alone. tell me how many bosses have 700+ MD? lol.

fair enough s0rc said they don't pk at boss spawns but firstly I thought that was bannable anyway, secondly why would you need to PK when it dies in minutes and you always get the kills lol.

It's understandable that theres very little to do in dsoma, and these capped/near cap players need something to do, but really something needs to be done to enable the mass population to have a chance.

everyone in coven seems to log each others chars depending on what boss is up as well which is a mega pain in the bottom.

Fixes for Isylver/Fin to maybe implement? Bring a magic and melee damage cap for bosses, randomize spawn times for all bosses, reduce defensive dex of all bosses, make min dmg for melee 2 dmg to match weaken min dmg. stop flame accessories damage scaling with Int,

it should be possible for everyone to obtain these items if they are high enough to get the quests, not if they aren't an axe user or mage. At the moment it's only because people share stuff in dsoma that anyone has sacred shards etc.

anyway ill leave it there and wait for s0rc or Laz to number crunch and work out how many 700 hits required to down shironim vs his MD and let me know how many seconds im incorrect by then claim mages are hard done by etc. This is just what I've seen in the 3 weeks since I came back to Soma. complete and utter boss monopolization with no possibility for non capped players to even have a chance.


and this is why hardly anyone plays dsoma, aka coven hogging all bosses iv looked on feed over the past few weeks all dsoma bosses mainly killed by lazarus(seems to hardly log lol) and coven, i don't hardly see and other players get these bosses,
but that nice update for Wotw is pretty decent gives Wotw something to aim for now, yeah bring on the hate

Got it, this must be it. Unsure if you're trolling or just genuinely thick. Nothing like blaming someone else for being shit.

Some think it's bad now, it could certainly be a lot worse. We don't actually pk people off of bosses unless deserved which in certain situations isn't even against the rules btw because then they'd actually have a reason to complain. If we wanted to keep people off of bosses we could do so and with ease but we don't.

Dsoma is underpopulated when the guild has all capped players in the feed will be all coven. Other guilds have stopped playing as they can't compete with the likes of laz/gene, if there was more capped players in all classes throughout Dsoma the game would be so much more enjoyable and interesting.

We need to look at the bigger picture and understand why it's only coven that log on.
If it's the grind then let's sort that out. If it's levels after levels of no drops lets do something about it.
I've spent a lot of my free time trying to make it easier for new comers, with free items bars ect, I've even tried to create a small community in the guild where all new players are around same sort of level and are all helping each other out, it's nice to see that the guild has now 30 members in. But I do fear once rested has been used up these players will fade away. Dealing with punching and nothing to aim for apart from cap... Most classes in will have top tier weapon and armour around lv56 that's 44 levels of nothing to aim for. It's a big grind.

Just hope Dan sees past the nonsense posts and takes time to look at what can be taking from good comments and ideas.

We need to increase rested to 80/85.

The new players I know (know quite a lot from sirs) and had two old soma mates start recently, all fell off when the grind got to hard.

The only low levels I see now mostly are second characters.

A mass email, with information on new patch and increased rested to 80 would get a lot back.

I would donate for that If there was a target ect ect to reach.

My thoughts would maybe make dsoma 90? And increase mob % considerably.

That might encourage hsoma players to play dsoma over just starting a second noob.

That's bs lol rested is not needed to be changed.

You can get a Mage from level 1-50 in 2 days
Level 70-80 takes roughly 6-7 hours on rested to lvl and the rested xp gain is like 20% a night. Now I'm 80+ I lvl only on rested.

Rested should not be altered until cap raised.

The 'grind' kicks in at 80+, why would you even need rested before then lol. EB, KL and WBM are already too fast. Rested to level 90 wouldn't make my levelling from 80-90 much faster at all.

Really, Dsoma is already too fast to level, it's the linear levelling and boredom that prevents players not levelling speed. This thread is about bosses not levelling

Just for reference, in Hsoma it's taken me since March playing fairly casually to get to level 67 (job with strange hours, travelling a bit for work etc). I think i got to level 50 by May or something but once rested dries up it becomes significantly harder to motivate yourself to grind consistently.
At level 67 I just barely feel slightly more relevant in the world, but it's taken a really long time, and wouldn't have happened without the help of my guild. In Dsoma with a smaller population it seems like just a completely uphill task to get to the point where you can do ANYTHING honestly. Rested XP thresholds need to be looked at for both realms to encourage newer/returning players in general.
