Your right Deimos. It requires further tweaking. I think GM's need a convincing argument for any thing which helps them make a overall decision, an easy one to make, an argument that practically takes cares of all angles. I guess its in our power to make decisions 'an easy' one for them, as time is something they don't have.
Bow is a law unto itself, it is the case for both races. As much as people complain about 3rd/5th, its useful for PVP and bosses. Perhaps Bow should be limited to range 3 when used in PVP. It would annoy people sure but would certainly allow knuckle and sword be used more for all kinds of PVP.

I think it’s the way forward for hsoma.
Lots of people say it killed dsoma and was bad, however dsoma looks to be thriving, and is the most popular server/world by a long shot right now. |

Variety is a must, I quit 3 capped devils and played hsoma for the first time in 6years after this change. For me it ruined what I enjoyed and the sense of accomplishment. And classes are far from balanced, (not sure about RvR)
Having two worlds macanics working the same just seems silly. I’m sure hard caps can be put in place to stop archers gaining stupid dex after next cap raise this should stop “perfect builds”

"FLAWLESS"I think it’s the way forward for hsoma. Changing to a stat - allocation system on h-soma, would scare more ppl away , than draw old players back. All thats needed is more levs, and ppl will be back. And like dios says, mayb a hard cap for dex at some point

I think Dsoma is thriving, I agree. Lots of noobs joining.
Stat allocation system or just wipe out the whole 50+ stat system and do it over, leave everyones stats as it is. People will get over it. |

If you aren’t willing to put that extra effort in that’s fine, level as you would and enjoy the game. To those of us who are willing to level harder / longer than we deserve the added bonus. It’s as simple as that. There are factors which could be addressed such as Hadou mentioned in the ideas section regarding healing. Con is something which shouldn’t change at all as it’s a big factor in diversity.
Leave Hsoma alone or you will see a lot of people leave just like several big names/personalities did from dsoma. There’s no need to fix something that isn’t broken and that also applied to dsoma unfortunately.

Your bonus isn't proportionate though Tyrese. People saying 25 stats over a normal char? That's a huge advantage.. for something I think 80% of hsoma would agree wasn't intended to happen.
You and others keep saying your just playing in the 'mechanics' of the game but no one is just simply asking the GM's if this is 'how it is going to be'. Or if something is going to stay.

It’s fine how it is.
I’ll use this as an example. I played world of Warcraft for about 10 years. Now I spent A LOT of time on it, farming dungeons, raiding most night. By the end of TBC I was in a top 10 guild in the world on their main raid team (Eternal Gathering). This meant I had massively better gear than 99% of the player base. Stats wasn’t a thing in WOW, it was all about knowing your class and GEAR, which you couldn’t get without putting the hours into the game. It’s no different here. The more time someone puts into the game, building their charector. The better it will be. This is basic 101 for mmorpgs

No Alex. You're referring to most MMO's where the main difference between players is gear and nothing else. Aside looks / class. No one is against time serving to get the gear they want / deserve.
We're talking about actual stats, an advantage that other chars cannot 'do anything about' once they have been levelled. If its real, that you can gain a 25 stat advantage by healing for int, and people are clearly doing that, then it clearly shows something is wrong. 25 extra dex or str, or int over any other char at end game is a HUGE advantage. And you are all wrong for suggesting it stay. What about the people that have characters that may quit as a result of it staying? That they cannot compete? I know, we tell them to make another character! For the same reason hunting for +50 stat mobs with a second account or being tanked, again, there is too much to gain by doing it, and also needs reviewing. Make it so that healing int can get you a +5 stat advantage, ok, I don't think many would complain. Make it so that hunting +50 stat mobs only gains you a +5 stat advantage, ok, I don't think many would complain either. Also make it so it doesn't matter what weapon you level with to gain good stats. Either way, something needs to change.

I honestly do not believe by doing +50 you can gain an extra 25 dex or str, I think its low around 2-3 maybe less- As i know subxero and hadou both did +50 (I didn't, i did pure bow and ended up with 142.9) where they have 144.4 dex to achieve the same build.
On the other hand INT, its entirely possible to get 25 stat advantage on other chars by healing.

I would like to let you know that the Bonus stat levelling system has been a thing since esoma. If this was an issue it should’ve been sorted at the release of the live server after testing it had been concluded on the test server. You cannot expect the vast vast majority of people who play hsoma (who’ve made 2-3-4 chars to get the best possible stats) to just accept such a change and be on a par with joe blogs who spent 400hours to cap yet has the exact same stat allocation as them?
You are being delusional. You want a top char, then train the way the game allows. Don’t come on the forums and try to make out it’s a flawed system because you don’t / won’t put the hard work in.

I stand somewhere between you and Salkooth on this - fair enough put in extra hours and reap the benefits I hear you BUT if you actually wanted the UC to grow here rather than have the same 40-odd people who have been addicted since esoma I do think the whole +50 you need to make one terrible character just to tank for a super-noob later should be addressed. Even if you lost out slightly at the expense of the game becoming much more accessible and UC going up wouldn't you enjoy the game more for the extra UC?
