I can see that side of the argument also. But there is no reason why people can’t do the same. For me personally the biggest motivational aspect of soma is being better than someone. So healing, hunting right and then farming only intense items is my goal. I had to make a terrible char first time round to be able to achieve having several “perfect” chars afterwards.

You’ll always get your casual players who aren’t fussed about competing and you’ll have those of us who see everything as a competition. You need to have a way to diversify instead of it all being based on how lucky you are at the anvil one day.

Otherwise char A could have 100 KE and make a full 7% set with +5 att kit and char B might only make a 3% set and +2 att kit.

I would rather make my char stronger from the offset and any extra perks from upgrades are a bonus!

Kekket, I’ve already said the way in which ‘free int’ is gained needs to be addressed. That part I’m not arguing against. But too many people have done it for it to be removed.

Only on one point are you correct, Tyrese. Yes its been here since Esoma. Fortunately people had the sanity to not heal for high INT in Esoma.

You, and others are just so hemmed into how you think Somashould work for you. No one seems to think about the big picture or what its doing to pre-existing characters, or just maybe those people that may return to find their characters can't compete when capped. What kind of moronic game would make its player base start new characters to still be able to compete? A broken one. You know it Tyrese, and I will bring this thread to the GM's attention.

I thought having got to 110, having created upgraded gear, should make you be able to compete with others. Again, 25 stats above another 110, is outrageous, sure I'll give you 5 so you can keep a small edge but not 25, that's ridiculous.

The sooner the game stops making people reward themselves for "finding a new way" to exploit something that wasn't intended, the better. This self congratulations thing 'for hard work' is appalling.

Give it a break. Either play the game as intended or don’t. Stop forcing your views onto people purely because it suits you better. Do you want to sit at DW until 110 and expect to have the same stats as someone who progresses and levels accordingly?

It’s not a broken system if it’s been programmed to work that way. I can 100% say if you push for this and the GM’s introduce it (they would have to be completely crazy too) then you’ll see a huge chunk of a tiny player base leaving)

Ghost (or finito, I can’t remember which) has openly said in a thread somewhere that this will not be changing as it’s too far into the game for such s major change.

Out of interest what level is your highest human / the name of it? Would be interesting to see your experience with these issues you speak about..

Lmao, leave Hsoma alone.

If anything Soma needs a higher skill cap(Soma is pretty much just click once and hit f1-f8 for PvP) it needs new auras/spells you can aim and be able to dodge. But that's never going to happen imo.

That's why most the u/c went to Albion because the PvP is more exciting and rewarding , you can actually outplay your opponent with aim/positioning and lower gear.

Also, as explained by Isylver a while back once the level caps get higher and higher the disparity in stats will be less and less. Meaning for example by lvl 150 all chars will have the same amount of stats but spread differently depending on class.

No point arguing about somthing this late in the games life

Persnaly id rather have had dsoma wiped and the issues fixed than this stat system

Tho on the bright side, leveling on what u want and not having to worry about your char is nice also

Least with dsoma where all locked into our class, hsoma everyone would just respec the same

You keep saying that, Tyrese, to force my views, but I'm exemplifying the problem because who would want to listen to someone that is healing for int themselves on their own alt char? You're the one justifying for your own needs and others like you. A minority of Soma.

25 stat advantage will just piss off level 110s and you're line then is going to be what? "Make a new char?" Its a ridiculous and everyone should agree that INT healing should have the benefit of it hugely marginalised. Its for the good of the game.

It's those xtra bonuses from lev 1 -101 that make soma stand out from most of the newer games around atm.. sure unless u make a healer u aint likely to be doing +50 mobs all the way.......but that way is possible... its also possible to knock up a qwik lev 100 to tank for ur 2nd character if u got the time and patience.
Most of the human 'addicts' now are using tanks or have done for the first 60 levs or so....
leave h-soma alone ..
Also... sure plenty of vk missing atm..so gvw's aint as busy as a few weeks ago, but the h-soma side..may not be busy busy..it certainly isnt quiet.
( taken 6 weeks to make my new lev 86 , he can tank blg now, with 99% eva...6 weeks is hardly a huge ask )

It’s not a new trend finito has addressed the issue and capped healing for int to 100. Which makes it fair for all chars to do it.

What char do you play on hsoma and what level did you get?

You also ignored my point about stats evening out in levels to come.

Who I am, isn't really relevant for this debate.

Well Finito, needs to bring it down further, so that you can't get such an advantage. That is, if the figure of 25 extra stats is true by healing to 100 INT.

iSylver probably has a point, by level 150, everyone is probably more like at Esoma hunting speeds or similar but if we're only going to get a raise this summer and that's to 120, that's still going to be another year or two of riding a significant advantage. And anyway, you wouldn't be INT healing a character if it wasn't going to be worth it.

It needs to be dealt with.

You are annoying me with your ignorance now. The game isn’t broken it’s set up so that added effort = bigger reward. Stop moaning and play the way you want to play and let everyone else play the way they want too.

I’d imagine you are a first gem char who is salty you never levelled properly and want it made so that you are competitive again.

Also deamond has already told you the stat difference is minimal so I don’t see what the fuss is about?

Chill out guys this is only a discussion.

I think there is defo an argument to be made against the int healing since it is pretty clear not a single person does it non-afk.

On the other stuff Tyrese mentions - for me it is a question of optimisation between rewarding people who put in extra effort and accessibility. Atm, as I see it at least, there is very little incentive for genuinely new players to join given the massive time commitment to make 1 disposable char as a tank for your super-noob. Personally I would rather a higher UC (supposing this would be the case) in terms of new players than satisfy the existing few tens of players who will never leave no matter what.
