The system in place is set to auto correct as power shifts from devils to humans. Slowly it is correcting itself, perhaps it needs a shunt in the right direction.

Does the % only change after the first defence or immediately after any win? After each win seems like the best way to keep things interesting.

Completely disagree plum unless it's micro % changes for when the system is eventually right. I would say once it's 'even' and 'balanced' and humans try every week regardless then it should not change the % for 3 wars. It is 'balanced' after all which means any race could win it at any time. Right now if humans wanted to they could win it for months.

Still needs to be something added that makes it paramount for ALL players to attend. I still think double rested xp in castle or faster % in conti will ensure population attends.

i've heard quite a lot of speculation that equilibrium have been boycotting wotw for weeks to force the devil % so low that they are no threat to EQ farming sacred stone for pos. the resulting losses will obviously artificially alter the %, making devils significantly weaker than they should really be, which leads onto the common consensus echoed here by Neoxian:

humans have far less to gain by owning conti, whereas the majority of devils rely on it for leveling. so devils are stuck in a lose-lose situation now that the % is so out of proportion, where we have to do without conti for weeks if not months before we can have fair wotw/ss.

cap the % at 66% minimum and make it so when you lose with reduced % you gain more than you would lose for winning. this way there is a much lower incentive to lose on purpose.. there should be NO incentive to lose on purpose. it would also increase the likelyhood of conti alternating each week and iterate the balance more quickly.

make sacred stone %'s independent as this is effectively all against all and not race vs race. it's trickier to balance with the format of ss but i am sure there is a better method than sharing the wotw %.

it would indeed be nice to give players more incentive to take part in the war.. maybe 2% rested exp per 5 minutes in the castle during the war, or a barr/item reward dependant on how many minutes you spent in the castle, fighting. better rates of rested in conti castle for the owners would be good to give a permanent incentive to win the war but i think many would still rely on others to go and do the actual fighting.

devils are so outnumbered, they really should be stronger..

so some of this might not be logistically easy to implement or perfect to tune and balance but they're ideas that can be worked on, and a few little notes that i think some players are afraid to call to the attention of the GM's

Didn't take long for an anti-Eq accusation to be thrown out, congratulations for that.

All the needs to be done is the % needs a quick push in the right direction and the current system left as it is. You won't achieve a perfect balanced %, so lets not waste our time trying.

I am sure the humans won't hold a grudge that the devils owned conti uncontested for the first 5 weeks, meaning most had to lvl without conti spells. Be nice to have the % back to a reasonable amount for a decent war.
Conti doesn't really require any of these OP benefits to lure players in, just maybe nightmare/blg for humans and wbm for devils.

As for SS, that's really down to non-attendance. Nobody turns up in force to hold stones apart from Eq and a handful of devils. The % is not the real issue there.

EQ Boycotting war... I'm pretty sure that other than Fuji, we are the only ones who have consistently attended. I've only ever missed 2 wotw since launch, both of which were down to work commitments.

This is getting ridiculous.

"FUJITORA"% system doesn't need any adjustment at all and is perfectly fine the way it is currently.

IF both sides are actively trying to win on every attempt it will balance it self out eventually without any need for any outside interference.

Of course there is no issue as I stated before OF COURSE it's perfectly normal.

Take goat for instance (secret) he's pretty much my level. I'm 74. My 3rd aura returns roughly 60 hp which means I hit him for 75 damage and he's not even strength trained yet. But he can hit me for 250 with magic.

Lordcoos is around 80 just turned? I hit him for 40 damage and he hits me for 190+ melee.

Factor in humans actually outnumber devils still at wotw and they have passively more hp then you can see the huge issue there.


The amount of dsoma archers and the use of +100 hp pots detracts from the true balance percentage we need. I can spam blue serums and +100s and survive a group of humans who are hitting me for 200+ for a period or until a random newb pre casts and runs out and weakens and I don't see it then I'm dead in a split second.


Fujitora when are you going to wake up seriously? You think you're isylvers little puppet and have clout because you're 90+ when it makes what you say seem completely incoherent, arrogant and possibly entirely mentally handicapped coming from someone your level. Takes 15 devils to kill you and you're not even 135 str
