Lol - this is bloody stupid. Yes it’s annoying as hell that China get everything but you simply cannot change the way bosses are killed.
How would you feel jac if you put serious hours into making attack / str gear and then get told it’s not needed to be competitive? (You don’t upgrade anything so wouldn’t know) But why would people bother to make any kit if it wasn’t needed for bosses? Michelin is lvl 111 and he has got plenty of kills at blitzen so far this year. Just because you capped your char with a lot less str than most other 120 chars doesn’t mean bosses need changing. You probably should read what people have said and pay more attention to “who” said it before you make your reply.
I DIDN’T start the thread, I DIDN’T point the first finger at the Chinese, I DIDN’T advocate changing the boss kill method and this ISN’T about me. I DID say “fair do’s” if the player had created such a character(s) and was playing the game for the same reasons as the rest of us (and also “fair do’s” to anyone else who does so). I DO have characters that have all three SRs, good weapon skill for upgrading, cooking and pot table skills. I HAVE listened to what people have said (mostly you actually) and developed a new character (Prowler) with attributes that work best for the way I want to play the game and I AM working towards doing stuff for myself. Thanks for your concern though. I shall expect one of your special visits for my insolence. 8) Jac

It’s you who has the biggest gripe with the chinese in this thread jac...
You’re hell bent on accusing them of selling stuff for irl cash all the time, if you used a fraction of that anger towards them and put it into making better kit you might just compete with them.

No point in doing this personal stuff here, it's about changing the ways we could kill bosses..
So, with a dmg cap system like I stated.. 1-5dmg sort of thing, you get more advantages with faster weapons. You can still have benefits from stronger weapons and other gear in pvp. Facts don't care about your feelings guys. Go look at the player feed, it shows that only the same people getting the loot. It doesn't show who go to those bosses, but usually there are at least 5-8 people at each boss. This is all about making it possible for more casual players to also get some loot. If some guy has 300-500 dmg, max accuracy set and whatever else you can max out, how is it possible for those that have nothing near that kill bosses? From a luxurious well geared position it's easy to say others just need to get lucky. But that's just the thing.. We could all get lucky, but facts show that most loot goes to the top players, and people who go to bosses over 20 times and never get the loot get super frustrated by that. Some empathy would help this community out a lot better. It's still a community game right? Or do we just have to live with the rich get richer system? Obviously a LOT of casual players face these problems. So instead of saying this idea sucks, you could come up with something that works for all of us.

Everyone in this thread apart from maybe deamond and tyrese and the odd time prowler, i never see you at bosses so how can you complain? China has geared there chars it seems to be boss killers. Get some half decent gear and tuen up to bosses and you get kills

Imo a nice touch would be a tiered damage system for range, I see far too many archers at bosses dual/triple logged standing outside of attack range of the boss taking 0 damage yet get the kill as often as any other
Mages also but maybe maximise theirs at range 2 due to the fact you cant cast against melee bosses Tank chars should always get their share as they take the most cost of pots etc, maybe have drops open to who takes the most hits too or something like that

Need to change the way bosses work to a more modern system, whatever you think about it... Only one person getting anything is silly. Last hit should still get a reward, but everyone who turns up and contributed should get some sort of token to trade for loot.

Also, to be honest, not that many bosses drop good stuff anymore. A total revamp of all bosses would be great.
Have them tiered and level locked. |

Yea a lot of bosses that used to be good are now kinda dated in their drops.
I don’t think China/melee dmg build/spear needs to be nerfed v bosses, I just feel like if they were adjusted so anyone with OP gear had a good shot, rather than anyone with OP gear or a specific sort which is currently the case. An OP geared mage for instance still has a fairly poor chance at almost every boss. I like the last hit thing to be honest, I can’t think of a better way to do it.
