Level Cap Raise

Author Content Date
Plenty of suggestions and moans and ideas on various threads for the last few weeks.
Dan had some shit and proly busy with work... we can moan, but not expect miracles..we all have lives to live. Some ppl spend half or more of their lives on soma, and see things slipping away or goals and achievements being more distant and impossible to achieve.
Cheaters, buyers and sellers seem to be flourishing... ( plenty of them, banned in the past for bot crafting...selling) still here..still reaping rewards ...
Mazoku's idea seems hard work for Fin to do.. and maybe gms not getting donations to make all this time worth their while.
Could just make everything a darn sight easier...levelling, crafting.. more drops.. buff the anvil...buff everything and make things a little more achievable for all.
I spent a week at trolls ( 40-50+ hours) for 1 rare bsb, 1 epic gore and a hard xbow... combined the gore and bsb to an intense with others i already had... both broke at +1 ... now with 200 craft skill and the hours put into that..... fs..come on ... ye ye rng blah de blah...but thats just takin the piss...
All this rng affects every1 ofc...but it really shouldnt be this brutal... As discussed many times...time invested and rewards gained.. it just isnt happening.

There's a great game here.. gm's looked after us mostly , and a hardcore userbase that love the game and want to play.. but
atm.... with gm.s seemingly not too bothered or responding to most concerns or ideas ...maybe it's just time to declare ''China as the winners in all respects.. best gear.. best cheaters and gained most from this server'', and close the thing down.. if some tweaks to make things more user friendly for all cant be implemented.

Isylver's been a great gm and fin too.... but seems to be doing less and getting less involved with things.
I say this with affection and respect.. but soma needs some leadership and guidance and even if it can't be done immediately, maybe some gm input as to what may or not be coming in the near future.
Nothing but respect intended.... but we need a bit moar please ..
x

"OCD"Rewind the server so everyone is lvl 1. Will bring loads back.

I like the idea of seasons so we up the rates massively and wipe every few months which will encourage new unique builds etc for a season, but I can't see how the logistics would work and it would upset so many people who have poured so much time in.

End of season rewards could be unique flairs, skins etc.

Iselix and Chojine's posts i +1 too couldn't have said it better myself, also i do like the idea of some sort of "wave" of bosses for lower levels players just starting out in game, i think the problem we have is frustration.........

We all LOVE soma and want to see if succeed and thrive, the fact we are here suggesting these ideas just shows how passionate we are about soma and i hope the GM's can see this and not that we are moaning or complaining, We just think soma could use some improvements to get it on it's feet.

A Talent tree would be cool for diversity.

Let’s raise free rested to 100?

"TEMEROSO"Let’s raise free rested to 100?

This would be a good idea, especially because it has been mentioned a lot by many players in the past and has been swiftly avoided because of a slight rate increase. However, looking back at it now, I would much rather prefer rested til 100.

The real frustration is that hours translate directly to progress in game, and most of the times the most success comes at the higher levels when you need to wait days for rested.

Rates would need upping considerably for me to come back personally, this game is miles too time consuming and most of that time isn’t exactly spent having fun - kinda defeats the object of a game.

I fully agree and don't see why soma with a user count of less than 100 people needs to be this much of a grind....

Just make it fast and fun so old players come back to try new builds. Make mages do damages to bosses. Add untradable upgrade items to daily store. Have weekly events. Make levelling exp to level 110 x2 what it is now.

Make it appealing for the casual drop in gamers whilst the try hards will still have next level gear. At least the casuals can get involved and have some success.

The issue is re-making gear not capping chars imho.

Leave people's gear but reset all chars to level 1. Set leveling speeds back down to 2x Esoma and cap back to level 100 for abit.

Boost the rates serverly. Until more people are capped.

As a casual player I don’t have 3 hours a day to gain figures on a screen. I used to play soma for fun, I only play now cause I have social interactions with a lot of players..

There’s enough content on here to keep the majority of people entertained for a while yet, people who have capped players may make another build if the rates are upped, this wouldn’t give an advantage to the already capped, would just mean a larger base of players get there, making more people available for PvP, more gvw contribution etc.

‘Rhyse’ server was stupidly fast, drops were ridiculous and people enjoyed the game, was probably the most fun I had in a long time on a server. I’m not saying go to that extreme but I don’t think a lot of the capped players would be against casuals catching up and being able to participate.

My biggest issue is getting through my rested %. I struggle to do it due to lack of time and that’s with half decent gear. Only chance I have of using all 100% of my rested is on a weekend and then I don’t like spending my only time off hitting the same mobs for hours on end. My rested is back to 100% usually Wednesday night and untouched till weekend again.

My suggestion, create further stages of rested exp. Once rested reaches 100%, start a fresh bar which makes levelling 3x rates and the same again as 4x.
