I think soma has had a great year so far, the amount of double rates has helped players catch up with characters and it's been great to see all the crafting stations busier. The amount of updates, tweaks, quests and other things added since the level 120 patch has been great to see and it's thanks to the continued support of Isylver and Finito we really do appreciate all your hard work.
Thoughts of the day I guess..... Is it possible for the casual player to acquire the best items in soma, by which I mean things like warbeast stud which I believe is only dropped by a boss, the ultimate accessories from onzu? Is it right or fair that any of the items in game is only dropped by one monster? surely there should always be an alternative monster to acquire the item in question? Have you more chance of sighting the Loch Ness monster than acquiring this mythical item called a necro sting? I know there are some craftable items in game that the recipes are still unknown, should there be hints/ tips on working them out after say 6 months or should the recipes just be revealed? Do you think there's much feedback from the suggestion section? Are we updated enough with the progress of suggestions taken up by our GM's? Do you crafters feel there is enough mats to keep you stocked to craft? Could they do with increasing the restocks? Would you like to see more GM presence and GM events? Would an event Callander be a great addition? Have noticed more of the lesser items do seem to be dropping more since the drop rates increase but haven't noticed much improvement on the higher end items, is there much difference from before the increase? This is just a few thoughts, some of which I've read on the forums or what players have spoke to me about, looking forward to seeing others thoughts on these and your own thoughts on soma :)

I think there should not be boss exclusive items because it means you can never obtain the items for the majority.
Certain items could do with being added to other mobs to create diversity and spread the burden of too many people hunting 1 mob resulting in less drops for all. Some of the drop files of the higher mobs dont make sense such as small rubies when you can kill 4 of a lesser mob in the same time for a med etc. I think the stronger the mob the more rewarding it should be. If we go to palus for sd's and not boars/trolls something is seriously wrong with either the drop rate on the higher mobs to compensate for kill speed differential or maybe even the quantity or gem size in this instance. I think ive had like 1 or 2 sd in over 10 lvls at trolls, even IF they were a large dia drop id still be at a loss if id just spent that 10 lvls worth of time at palus id have easily 40-50 large dias, just an extreme example of time/reward ratio off. Some items have abnormal rates such as the mentioned necro sting and they should be corrected. Some things that come to mind are titus pads which seem to have the lowest of the set by a huge margin even female ones! Fort plates are too infrequent, DT are non existent at blg even if you kill 3k a day you can count on one hand how many you've had in 6 months. From what i know there are no undiscovered hsoma recipes. We know T3 weps, bone armor, the 6 pot and 3 cook recipes and there are no new acc recipes. The gm does add things from time to time from the suggestions he just doesn't always announce it or put in the patch notes or sometimes he may give out info in a shout ingame but if you arent on you can be in the dark for a long time. Would be nice if there was a GM feed to see anything he puts in blue ingame. Crafting mats always flawed, its been over discussed for too long from how accessories arent allowed to use any metal except copper but weps can use orc metal to power craft milling barr with twice as much available resource. There was extreme wars for pot mats until i capped and now there is vicious competition for meat which isnt too bad but 600k a stack of flour is alot of barr to mill and if im not at right places i dont make millions per day. I said it a while back but the whole abias patch back on esoma was designed for lvl 30-50 bag weights not lvl 120's, also esoma had the manual drag and drop + fails giving fractional skill gains which slowed crafters speed coz they had to sell the items so new ones could fill inventory which in turn meant they needed less mats on hand because you wouldnt be able to craft 60k copper a day. Would be nice to see some new or unique events from GM when he has time rather than the boss spawn macro. I think a monthly rotating event would be great so one month double drop for 5 days then the next month double crafting, double exp and others just something different each month so that by the time the same event comes around again it still feels like you have been waiting for ages. The drop rate increase has pushed up some items but we are still hurting for the good stuff to be more frequent, i dont think a flat increase is the answer, individual items need to be tweaked in the database. Id like to discuss the tag system for crafting as i dont think its rewarding enough, you can use a retarded amount of mats and never hit an int or lego and thats with scumbag mats let alone mag mats where applicable. I would be in favour of giving jades a new function where instead of lowering weight they add a 2% chance for int or lego so you can save them for the good mats.

Regarding some recipes still unknown, was referring to shadow armour on hsoma, not sure if all parts are known still, I may be wrong? I believe there's some dsoma recipes namely accessories unknown?

Simply knock 1 mat off of bone recipe to produce shadow from there just needs refining.

I believe there's some dsoma recipes namely accessories unknown? as dsoma player, the drops and trading is much worse than hsoma, so its even harder to get stuff you want, as well as being mage and mage mobs only drop mage stuff and nothing else to trade with melee class's ye id love the recipy for shaman ring, however I guessing it will want firemetal which is only droped from a lvl 20 mob, and not exatly a high drop rate on it either just like necronis choker, im guessing its not been narrowed down, but the recipy I got requires 20 fire metal, the amount of fire metal one would need to get a decent tag out of that is insane been saving and picking up fire metal from Christmas presents and easter eggs, and that still only amounts upto 222 fire metal

Darian hoop (ma ear) on dsoma has eluded everyone, myself and several others have tried many different recipes of large amounts of everything and never found this, using hundreds of fire metal etc too,
Dsoma is harder in respect to different metals used craft different items rather than better quality etc, Have asked for clues before and never received any, the the hint from them scroll things must be wrong (again concluded by several players)

No one has to level a new character doing the +50 way yes its your choice but i feel merc is abit of a waste map so many mobs wasted etc. I loved the days of doing kobolds then raps then trolls etc etc. Hence why i have crap stats for my level, however its just a shame that so many mobs are overlooked now and its like ok blg mags rest my life.. 😂

Merc is probably the best map in the game. No one has too far to run, theres good zones of mobs and the areas. +50 stat track ruins it big time.
Would love to see a character wipe and a fix put in place for these kind of fundamental things and a reasonable attempt at balancing the weapon classes. Not asking for people to fix the dependency of evasion or accuracy or bows or axes but just make it more balanced as a whole. Fixes should not come in the form of higher attack on a weapon but from a review of auras and function - PvE and PvP.

Dsoma near on dead, nothing is traded. Anvil eats everything worth upping.
omni set goes +3 easy... success is higher on certain ups? pods/dts/ i cant get past +2 and most break going +1. so demotivating... i've had a max of 4 DTs through drops and quest and bought a couple which aren't cheap, so far i have a +2 SH lol... at this rate it'll take me 9 years to create a +5 piece (dreamy right?). might come across as a moan, but just feel like the whole Soma world is fed up. keep on grinding :) maybe double anvil rate weekends every so often?
