fix the anvil

If your character never has to hunt trolls for meele imo the rates are pretty decent atm, although definitely wouldn't be moaning if there was more increased rate weeks/weekends.

At Kazoku said, its absolutely moronic to have a game that you need to first create a shit character to tank (gear that tank) for your superior character to gain the best stats. I can imagine the amount of players this puts off.

I also remember speaking to one of my guildies who got their friend to download and play, They started punching bugs said get your con to 30, He said FC!k this its boring as hell and uninstalled the game. Granted he could of hunted but should something that gives no fun to the player really take that long?

I'm pretty sure looking at the statistics finito provided into the anvil he said the issue isn't upgrading, as 70% of upgrades succeed, its more about lack of supply of desired item that needs to be upgraded.

Things that don't drop enough:
Shak Weps
Troll Rings
OTM'S
Crystal Shards

The list could go on, but i won't spend much more time on it

"DEAMOND"
"DEVONNE"
"RAVENSOUL"Thoughts of the day.......

I keep hearing the UC is on the low side, so to all the old players or old esoma players,

What would make you start playing Soma again?

Wiping it.

Simple question for the people who love this server:

What would it take for you to find a ESoma Rate server enjoyable?

More quests?
Lower level upgrades?
Lower mob bosses?

The GM's have added all them in on this server already, they don't make any real difference to the current game as you breeze past them in an instant but they've added in in spite of that.

They've already said they'd remove +50 bonuses if they could have a do over. So what is it that you'd want?

Some of you don't want a levelling server at all and that's fine, but for every person that doesn't want one there are countless others who do and given the original intention of this server was for it to be just that I don't see what's wrong in asking for that to be the case again.

Ryu i'm sorry but removal of the PK system is the worst idea I've ever heard.

It'll never go, and it wasn't a serious suggestion but the thing that impedes my enjoyment of the game isn't game mechanics, it's the never ending dick measuring contest half of the community seem to be engaged in.

sad but unfortunately that is true, A majority of the community act like 12 year olds - Maybe soma had mentally held back said individuals.

Aye, I love the game as it is I think the devs have done a great job and the quality of life improvements and new monsters have improved what was already a great game.

For me personally I like the current rates too as I work full time.

One improvement I would suggest is making level appropriate mobs drop level appropriate gear - Stingers are a good example of this, I can't reca what level I was able to use a Stinger but it was towards the beginning of hoarde Shanis. Titus is another good example. I'd like the drop tables reworked for basic weapons and armours. Perhaps a slight rate increase on those items but leave upgrade items/gems etc as they are.

What would make you start playing Soma again?

A level rise? I think at present anymore level rises would just put off more players that aren't already capped, and make it even more difficult for any new player to justify there free time to invest in soma and potential make it even more difficult for players that haven't done the +50 melee +30 mage route to enjoy soma.

New armour's? I think dsoma definitely needs new armour and possible a new hsoma mage armour, maybe focus on newer armour that incorporates the moral of characters Angel/Devil

New weapon's? I think this area is fine at the moment.

New quest's? I believe this area is also fine at the moment although I think some of the quests could do with tweaking regarding the rewards for certain quests that don't really reward the player for the time and effort.

An overhaul in the drop files? This really does need looking at, the drops should reflect the stage that your character is at, what good is getting gold, blood, shadow armour when your needing bone armour as an example.

Removal of the +50 route? This I believe is the single most off putting aspect for any new player, that requires you to make a tank first to then focus on your main character.

Increased drops? I believe this needs an increase to make it worthwhile for players to progress at a casual pace.

An anvil tweak/revamp? This definitely needs looking at, it seems crafting skill is absolutely pointless after 100 skill and somehow it looks as thought the anvil is somewhat set at around the 70% success regardless, but we know that isn't entirely true because it's pure luck 50-50

Increase levelling speed? i feel this could do with an increase across all mobs upto the character reaches level 100.

Regular competitions? I do believe this is a great area to bring the whole community together and gives most players a break from there normal soma time in game.

New maps? I think this is an area that could be looked into for both races.

Increase immunity time? I know there are plenty of players that enjoy the pk side of soma but I also know there are plenty that are just not interested in this aspect at all. So with that I believe there should be something implemented to allow both sides of this to be able to enjoy soma without causing players to leave and yes I know plenty of players that have left due to being hounded off this server.

I would like to see an increase on mob spawn sizes, the amount of time you spend at horde shanis it needs a bigger spawn area to help, maybe put a spawn in tyt and or merc, id also like to see the drop files altered and become more helpful to new players.

I remember fin showing what looked like 2 new maps before nega patch? But both worlds use the same nega sonwould that mean there is one already done and sat with no use?

Could hwan and merc be used in other world as new maps, just put in a few good mob spawns of higher mobs
Maybe add the latest mob tier to conti?

Realistically we want wotw and conti more competitive but not many chars can even level in conti after 100 due to stat caps

Thoughts of the day.....

There are many paths a player can take in the lands of Soma......

Be a warrior....

Be a mage....

Or maybe a well rounded combo warrage.

Be a crafter making armour, weapons, accessories, potions or cook....

This server is vastly superior to the original Soma and that is thanks to Isylver and Finito.

Who have managed to improve a hell of a lot, more levels for you to shape your character, new mobs for you to test your character with, new armours, new weapons, new spells, new accessories, new upgrades, tons of quests, faster levelling, new bosses and all this in there free time.

With all the improvements that will keep you busy for months on end there is one aspect that doesn't seem to have had any improvements and sadly is one of the most important parts of a players life in Soma and that is...

The anvil.....

How can an important part in a game like Soma boil down to luck?

A crafters skill has no bearing on the outcome, there is no magic touch, you simply click a button and this thing called RNG determines if it's a success or failure.

I do think crafting is incredibly painful process and the amount of hours required to reach a few bits of skill, i know it was designed this way in the beginning cus i assume the designers wanted soma to be a challenge and not be completed too quickly, but surely on a pserver and one with a usercount like ours in the low hundreds rather than thousands it should be made simpler and less of a challenge for us as im sure most of us have family and work life balance to juggle alongside our passion for soma with far less hours to put into those finer things like 200 craft.

Just my thoughts you all may think differently just an opinion.

1stly i left the game due to what Deamond said loads acting like 12 yr olds 100% of the time.

2 things to help

1 Ban the scumbags we all know who they are Sub Tyrese Spider Hadou blah blah blah
2 Instances. Legend of Mir has instances which is your own personal private cave for 1 hour once a day limited to only you and this requires a password. As there are several caves/areas there would be a lot of hours play in a day in perfect peace to farm.Could even go in a group with a password to get in. Let's see the scumbags who like to 7 v 1 kill people when there are none there to kill regarding lower lvls/solo players. Mir is very similar to Soma regarding most of the gameplay/chars/equipments/upgrades etc so if they can do it then so can Soma too I guess.
Would be a lot of work but no new maps/skins needed.Duplication of maps maybe and creation of the password entry etc but the 1 hour time limit per day auto warp out which we already have in game now the auto warp out.
Gms check out instances on Mir and see what i mean.
Soma is a social game but the behaviour of too many ingame now has gone too far.
Maybe time to close Soma if something like this isn't brought in.
