Fun is relative, meaning someone will only agree with you if their fun is in same reference as your type of fun.
In this case Linny's fun is talking to people, hunting a bit, trying to upgrade a bit and maybe other things. In Lupi's case, he enjoys PvE and has many characters and knowledge about the PvE world, He's done PvP too but does not prefer it as his main source of *fun* In Sub's case he Loves PvP, not so much hunting or farming but PvP is where he thrives. So everybody's fun is relative, just like time. I enjoy PvP, not so much PvE or Crafting or UPGRADING.... I play many PvP / Strategy PvP too so I find Soma PvP somewhat fun. :)
