Exp rate over the weekend

Author Content Date
"DOUAVACADO"There is always the option of rested pots, you can find them in the store

I am a filthy casual, level 94 and have never used my rested up since I was about level 80, unless its a double weekend of course. It takes me 12 hours to use my rested currently and I play for ~12 hours a week.

defo enjoyed leveling this event, I even found it bearable leveling without rested. so 100% would like to see 1.5x rates set permanently then our double xp events would be like the weekend just gone. defo pull me back from Skyrim VR

"LYRICIST"I wasnt talking about me. Unlike you lot I consider other players. Do you know how many people I see hunting in basic gear with D speed bows. Makes me cry. And why not? What difference does it matter if people cap quicker? Theyve still got to farm gear after. Not like with 3x rates people are gonna cap in a week will still take months. But months is better than years.. Like I say only a bunch of players can commit to the rates and the dedication it takes to capping a char and farming gear as the basic rates stand.

Except you were talking about yourself.

People who only have access to basic gear don't care about ever being competitive, or capping for that matter and those that have that mindset care far more about acquiring items than any grand race to the cap. It's only a person with access to higher quality items like yourself that is massively desperate to reach the cap in a couple of months, everyone else simply doesn't care.

If you want to boost anything boost the drop rates, levelling rates don't matter at all and the casual friendly part of crafting is already fast enough.

Really enjoyed the rates from the event, managed to do 190% or so. After being lvl 106 for two months with little motivation to grind it was a nice change.

There must be a fair compromise that could be arranged. The people that do grind out level cap way before others deserve that advantage, but after so long im sure even they get bored. Maybe up the rates a certain ammount every 6 months? so the game is still a grind but new players, alts etc can catch up easier.

Or

Run an exp event 1 weekend per month? at least you know that a weekend per month soma will be rammed :), and the hardcore players will still have an advantage by grinding the rest of the month.

Not sure if either of these options are viable but im sure someone will evaluate XD

+1 to permenant increase I'd say x2 what they are now.

I don't see any benefit having it so slow. It's win win for everyone if it's quicker.

There is literally no loss to high levels/capped players, if anything there will be more people grinding end game mobs, fixing the economy, more upgrades being done meaning more old weapons being passed/sold down, more people at events, more people at gvw, heck a new guild may come out of it.

The current rates are too slow, I for one am not 16 anymore, I have a full time job and children. Playing for 7 hours a day isn’t an option for me anymore.

I think we forget sometimes this is a game, played for enjoyment.. casual players deserve to relive soma too, which apart from these events is evidentially not happening, it’s clear people aren’t enjoying the current rates.

Aslong as there is always better gear to obtain, better things to farm, the level of ones character doesn’t make a difference, unless you’re at a stage where you can’t join in the farming.

Super Post

Was going to try and cap over the x3 period but decided against it, because I knew once my rested had gone and the event was over I'd be back to the grind as per normal, and didn't want to.

I want to play Soma... but the amount of time you need to invest is savage in my opinion. It just isn't fun for me anymore and trust me I love this game. I want to be able to play a few hours, and have something to show for it.

+1 for permanently increased rates crafting/leveling.

It would bring me back, knowing I didn't have to wait 1hour for 0.1 of a statistic. I'm not sure there's s good way to point out that scores have quit because they found the game too difficult.

How about we try x2 for 21 days - Crafting/Leveling with drops at x1.5?

Time/Reward factor... balance it out.

Should keep increased rates until the next level cap raise, then revert back, imo x

+1 to increased rates a few months after cap raise, like a lot of other people, I struggle to put in more than 4-5 hours a week. I would love to get involved in GVW and other events but tbh it's pointless if you're lvl 58. I still think that the hardcore guys need some form of reward for grinding it out so we could make high tier drops 2x just after cap raise and revert back when exp/stats are increased. This way you can only grind stats or gear at any one time.
