"OPENTHEDOOR"May be a good idea to all think if non p2w ideas that dan and finito could put in donations store.

Immediately I can think of time saving ideas like bulk moving of items via this website between guild and wh.

Obviously skill lock and reset has been mentioned before.

And lastly clues to crafting some of the new accessories.

Additional slots to WH
Additional slots to GS
Clues to accessories
Removing any amount of skill you like (Crafting or weapon)
Transferring bulk materials via website, GS-SG, WH-WH and GS-WH/WH-GS
Different colour guild name
Larger guild logo to be size of name/guild name
Donation per week to lock craft room and devils could have something similar if they get a craft room?

What you guys need to realise is that: yes money is all well and good. However, what drives us is the community.

Not to repeat myself but if you act disrespectful ingame (bug abusing etc) then that's the reason we won't do anything for you.

A few people bug abusing doesn't reflect the "soma community" as a whole though. There's way more positives than negatives, you can see that by this thread.

A timer on a PK would most likely solve most problem's with "griefing" issues. Or not being able to Pk someone 15+ Levels lower than you unless there grey would help also. PvP is healthy for any game environment having it turned off basically removes a big chunk of gameplay.

Even having the 4 top Guild leaders notify there players to lay off with the lower level pking would help.

It needs to be done. And it should be used as a means to control characters as well, so one sub per account above a certain level.

.... I think it does "affect" the whole community though..

Bug abusing creates an unfair advantage and ricochet's across the whole community. Unless the GM's plug the bug it will quickly be more exploited with a bigger effect.

Therefore, the "small" things are actually going to take up the most (GM) time to fix.

Listen to what iSylver is saying and people need to stop circumventing him with technicalities and deflections. He has made it very clear it is precisely this that is frustrating him.

No iSylver = no Soma.

Simple.

How are we circumventing Isylver with technicalities and deflections?

Explain pls.

Every game has exploiters/hacks, you have to deal with this running a game unfortunately. The majority of the community isn't involved in these activities though.

How many players were named as multies/pilots ?

How many denied it ? (It think it was none)

How many "justified" their actions ? (I think everyone who was named who posted did)

How has the "community" responded ?

..... You'll notice how the "community" responded when Linny's Guild Stash was emptied - not quite the same reaction iSylver got when he complained about "bug abusers" is it ?

See now ?

:o)

"SATAN2"
"RAVER"
"SATAN2"I agree there are more things to consider than simply adding a 'subscribe' button to the website, but the tax implications aren't onerous. Wouldn't need to be VAT registered as I doubt the income would come to anywhere near the threshold, everything else, keeping a record of all incomings and outgoings wouldn't be difficult. I'd be happy to help for free (I'm an accountant).

Isnt VAT registered so you can claim your tax back? which takes like forever with them and wouldnt they have to play like 3 or 4 different tax's

No, just income tax (assuming they're all from the UK). Being VAT registered would allow them to reclaim any VAT on purchases (I.e server costs) but would have to charge VAT on the subscription fee, increasing the cost for us by 20%, and that money would then go to HMRC rather than to iSylver/Finito.

Anyone want any tax advice pm me in game, I charge 1 small diamond per question.

Register for VAT, allow donations and still get the VAT Back off server costs?

As no doubt Satan2 will advise (interesting name for someone who deals with the taxman) the VATman always wins because you have to generate more money than you expend to stay in business (ergo, you pay more VAT than you reclaim).

Of course, there are exceptions such as funeral directors (but I guess you have to be dead) and the health service (wherein I guess you are about to be dead).

Butchers are also winners but they serve up rare flesh (again, a "death" springs to mind).

Still want to be VAT registered ?

:)

I'm not fantastic at anything to do with money but when ever I send money over PayPal there's two options either I pay the tax when sending it or you send.it as a payment for services at which the recipient pays the tax on any.money recivied so surely that would cover him as tax would have already been payed on any money he gets?

That's not the way Paypal UK works (can't speak for other countries)..

The options are to sending money domestically or commercially. Doing so "commercially" a fee is deducted which is Paypal's commission (and is used for their buyer protection program)

In either case, it is not tax

:o(
