The follow skill/success chart is apparently what is used on this server.....

100skill - 150skill - 200skill
+1 56% - 67% - 68%
+2 52% - 64% - 66%
+3 48% - 61% - 64%
+4 44% - 58% - 62%
+5 40% - 55% - 60%
+6 36% - 52% - 58%
+7 32% - 49% - 56%
+8 28% - 46% - 54%

As you can see there’s quite a difference between 100 crafting skill and 150 crafting skill, yet very little difference between 150 crafting skill and 200 crafting skill.

Which makes me need to ask why wasn’t the difference between 100 craft skill and 150 craft skill used the same way between 150 craft skill and 200 craft skill???

Going +1 100 skill to 150 is 11% difference, yet 150 to 200 is 1% difference.

Going +2 100 skill to 150 is 12% difference, yet 150 to 200 is 2% difference.

Going +3 100 skill to 150 is 13% difference, yet 150 to 200 is 3% difference.

Going +4 100 skill to 150 is 14% difference, yet 150 to 200 is 4% difference.

Going +5 100 skill to 150 is 15% difference, yet 150 to 200 is 5% difference.

Going +6 100 skill to 150 is 16% difference, yet 150 to 200 is 6% difference.

Going +7 100 skill to 150 is 17% difference, yet 150 to 200 is 7% difference.

Going +8 100 skill to 150 is 18% difference, yet 150 to 200 is 8% difference.

Shouldn’t a 200 skill crafter have the same higher success % over a 150 skilled crafter that the 150 skilled crafter gets over a 100 skilled crafter???

Shouldn’t it have been......

100skill - 150skill - 200skill
+1 56% - 67% - 78%
+2 52% - 64% - 76%
+3 48% - 61% - 74%
+4 44% - 58% - 72%
+5 40% - 55% - 70%
+6 36% - 52% - 68%
+7 32% - 49% - 66%
+8 28% - 46% - 64%

Now the above % is in line between 100 - 150 - 200 surely this makes more sense than what we have at present apparently, and it’s fair all round???

Unvmeh told me that they are correct, I did ask Isylver, Finito while I was in the volunteer’s group but only unvmeh replied. The reason why I asked if the initial success % chart was correct or not was to then be able to try work some charts out for the gms to test with for ways to tweak the anvil.

Yeah could we get a reference on these please Raven? - redundant now seen that you posted the source.

I didn’t even realise that the % was ratcheted based on current +x.

200 does look to have a fairly significant advantage esp when doing the higher ups, to my eye at least.

That said i’ve never put in the hours for 200 skill haha.

So as you can see from the above information. Before you press upgrade, pray to jesus, satan and the wizard of oz, spin round three times, throw a bowl of salt over your shoulder, spin three more times in reverse, sing god save the queen, then press the button and suceed 100% of the time. Easy.

Edit: 0skill upgrades, such as ToW, DT, RDT use the 150skill numbers as its template.

Think we knew this without the numbers xD

Did Unvmeh confirm this by somehow looking at the stats that are coded into the anvil then?

Be nice to get an idea of the veracity of the numbers.

This hasn’t been changed from Esoma and these are correct...

And I’ll repeat anvil currently is on a back burner, there is so many things to look at right now... does not mean it will not be changed just means before editing the percentages it will need to be tested. And then tested again.

i haven’t asked anything regarding the status of the anvil in the priority list of things that are on the to do list.

I’m merely asking why, why wasn’t the % difference from 100-150 used between the 150-200 skill shouldn’t they be the same. If these are the same as esoma then again why wasn’t these looked at on this server?

Again I’m not asking on “what’s happening with the anvil” my questions are entirely about the success %

Surely it makes sense that a 200 skill crafter should have the same higher success % over a 150 crafter that the 150 crafter has over a 100 skill crafter???

Makes sense that a 200 should have a greater advantage over a 150 than 150 does over 100 really given that 150-200 is much harder than 100-150.

I don’t think there is any point drudging it up now though tbh; what is done is done.

You may as well just wait and see what changes do come in and hope for the best imo.

No harm in discussing the success % after all this is the discussion hall section, maybe it may help the gms in finding the right balance with how to deal with any future tweak to the anvil?

Probably worth noting that 200 skill has zero effect on items after +5 as anything that goes above +5 requires 0 skill to upgrade and is worked off of the 150 skill success rate.

considering you could just add ss's all the way to +8 with 0 craft skill..i think the above %'s are basically meaningless..
The previous anvil results posted somewhere showed no greater success for the 200 guys than the 150 guys..all hovering around the 70-72% success ..ish...rate of success.

As sal3m says..changes are supposedly coming.. best just to wait to see what happens.
Apparently Fin's testing new anvil stuff, so hopefully not too long.

I can only assume he is hoping the resolution of "fixing" the anvil is increasing success rates for those who have put more effort into ensuring their upgrades have the best success rate, i.e 200skill. Which i can't blame him, If i put the grind in for 200 skill and theres f all difference i'd be quite annoyed.
