"CORLEONE"I'm yet to witness a 1 bang on Hsoma. I would assume it possible to someone with 100int but surely that is not a balance issue as they choose what to do with their own character. KGB says he can tank two mages with ease in his ancient gear so obviously it just doesn't happen. However, a warrior can tank a stone to me but I cannot tank a stone versus a knuck user. I die every single time i get stoned.

Kind of pointless to continue going for nerfs to mages after they have just been nerfed AND since there is no PVP on hsoma - it has not been tested.

Focus should turn to knucks dominance on bosses and its overperformance on absolutely everything. Everyone is building knuck now. Bows with 300 - 450 recoil also??

On Dsoma, you have archers with 250 base dex and up to +80dex in gear. How is this ok???

I also fought Nuclear (won't be going near him again) the other day and he basically did 95% of my health with one hit + 2nd spear. Should i calls for nerfs to spear for this reason? Of course not there are ways to counter it just like there are ways to counter mages.

I get what your saying Eric, but you cannot base everything on KGB. He has some of the best gear in game. If we were to remove the outliers - best and worst - and focus on the population, I’d recon you’d see one bangs, it’s definitely noticeable on dsoma with MD gear or not. I’m not saying get rid of proc, should just be limited to one proc per cast. Cannot speak for hsoma as have only PvP’d a handful of times so not got a lot of experience to draw from.

Always said dsoma archers are overpowered with dex gear, as an axer I’m lucky to hit one with acc gear and maxed dex, that’s before you get to some of the stupid dex gear about, in addition to the high dex, you have archers with atk gear and they rarely miss but pack a punch that takes significant chunks of health off... there is need of nerf there in my opinion.

Spear with 2nd is brutal, but is based on being near. I have seen calls for spears acc to go up, always been dead against it as you have a aura that hits every time every 6 seconds...

Also to finish this up, Nega spears carry more damage than nega axes now... so axers don’t even have their base powerful weps to help them out (check out the base stats in armoury of nega vs. Second to last wep on dsoma for an example).

Back to your original point though, maybe let’s see what happens over the next month to see if further tweaks are required.

There will always be a class people have trouble dealing with, it’s going to happen when most players gravitate to min maxing strength and dex over intelligence.

Just as if everyone was a mage, people would be arguing over the 20 players running round with +8 melee weapons.

There’s not a lot you can do about it, it’s a community driven meta, the higher the top few drive their strength and dexterity, the rest will be obliged to follow suit, leaving their intelligence ever more dwindling.

That’s not the mages fault.

I think limiting proc was a good move, it brings mages down a notch.

I have the same issue, I’m a mage, and I want to pile on the strength, but I know other mages are running around at near the intelligence cap, so I feel obliged to get there too or be condemned to not hurting mages and not being able to hit melee whilst being able to marginally take more damage over a short period due to the strength increase I could instead gain.

Ideally we would need a cap raise with no stat cap increases and a definite cap on dexterity to force people to dip into other stats a bit more and roll more well rounded characters.

Thank you Chojine, someone who speaks some sense!

Warriors constantly moaning about dying 1v1 to a mage when they’re barely 130 int. If warriors want to survive they should put more time into increasing their int/md than piling everything into max damage output.

Warriors dying 1v1 to a mage with 100 more int, everyone loses their mind.

Mages dying 1v1 to a warrior, 30 str difference, no one bats an eyelid.

Don’t get me wrong, the multi proc of the same spell was a bug and was rightly fixed, however there’s still plenty of work to be done to not just mages but to warriors too for pvp to be balanced.

With all due respect cho last year you said mages didnt need a nerf due to +8s being in a game now u saying its good ......as already said in previous pages Proc hasnt been nerfed tho they still do 1 bangs - which is why i disagree with the way the change has been approached. dont disagree with mages needing a massive nerf.

The changes that should have been done 4 years ago now gets done when people have based their idea on it. It my week off work atm, hence i am in game. I just think a little more planning and discussion should of gone in before the change occured, hence i feel the usercount has dropped and hence only 10 memebrs showed up for gvw last night.

DL having the most influence to most recent changes a guild that never logs on other than to get their name on a feed once a week, while gv is sat there not utilised at all. Yet loads of suggestions have been made about changing guild village war.

You talk about bug abuse what about exploit dyanmics of the game such as rvr help? whats going to be done about that? so nice after 4-5 years of darklegacy botting i,e chronos, dare, and dont say you dont because i am aware of who the pilot was who was paid thats without bought iitems @hawkmoon etc. but its so nice to see darklegacy do something about all these bugs etc so they can log in every 7 days not to play much inbetween. really brings out the fun in the game

+1 to Chojine, agree with everything.

@4634 Try make some solid suggestions rather than this nonsensical complaining about your enemies. Not long ago you were saying similar stuff about your current allies.

Who cares about sides if the game is struggling. Think of a way it can improve and make that suggestion.

my point was the suggestions being listened to seem to be a bit one sided and yes you will get the majority backing u up everytime cos u r more than half the servers population when u do play.

As for making suggestions, if you actually read the forum i have said about changing the prob on the hero access from dragon breath, it would also be more on par with the warrior if they done that and/or have an allowance before same procs start stacking.

i disagree with chojine on well rounded characters to, i like the idea of keeping the classes seperate as they are, with the new weapons on the horizon and ancient gear just being added. I prefer this.

Last year I wasn’t aware proc had a bug associated with it.

The issue with arguing over what could theoretically make a game better is you just end up with everybodies wish list.

Realistically you would have to identify what the root cause of issues are, step back and rectify that.

In my honest opinion soma’s issues root cause is a widening gap between classes stats which will only get larger.

There’s only really two options, make players have to make well rounded characters or continue as is, knowing that you will forever have the same issues as you will be lacking the primary stat to deal efficiently with the opposite class.

Either way is fine really, as long as people stop arguing about it.
