Soma's main issue let's be honest is usercount + lack of endgame

Rates are so fast now it's like a old pserver from 2008 but without all the upgrades dropping

True, endgame likely causes the drop in usercount or largely adds to the reasons people leave.

Usercount alone imo is never really the issue, as low usercount is caused by something else.

increase level cap by 20 so level cap is 150 and make it slow as possible so people dont cap in like a week like the last 2 cap levels, remember last cap someone capped in 3 days? 5 levels is to low with current rates, id like to see more end game mobs rather then just mags

+1 another good idea with the levels tho i dont agree with the full statement as still not capped but before there was lots of in game events like in merc, lots of pk, ppl go to arena and not just level - maybe hoarde will help witht his?

I would like to see a cap raise like thsi with new weapons armours and hoarde mode released all at once! will do wonders for the server

Who cares about sides if the game is struggling. Think of a way it can improve and make that suggestion.


I agree with this notion its not about sides. But dan has indicated before forum posts that pick up attention may get results. As stated before dark legacy is most probs equivilant to 50% of the entire soma population, so everytime you need a change you just back each other up?

No mage is gonna disgaree with your ideas either so your gonna have our mages and yourselves backing each other. buffing warriors will never happen because it wont get the attention because its because a very mage based class game.

I wouldn’t say it’s a mage based game, most trades and wanted items are melee based.

This server has more mages than old servers, I would agree with that statement, but that’s because we aren’t running round with capped damage, no proc, bad staffs and no real gearing options like the old days.

Mages in somas old days didn’t really have many options, now they do, so more play them.

Plus now that only one proc type can proc at a time, all the old one bangs which were likely largely due to the now removed bug, shouldn’t happen.

As long as melee have a baseline of intelligence, and serum weaken, they should be in much better stead than when the bug was in game.

I’m also a very strong advocate in believing players should level intelligence also, just as I level strength, choosing to not do so is a personal choice and not a reflection of a broken system or overpowered class type, just bad stat management, unless you are making a min maxed character solely for maximum melee damage output, but that obviously comes at a cost...no intelligence, just like how I can’t land a melee hit on a melee character with my weak sauce 100 dexterity and have the dodging ability of a rubber duck.

Warriors constantly moaning about dying 1v1 to a mage when they’re barely 130 int. If warriors want to survive they should put more time into increasing their int/md than piling everything into max damage output.

Warriors dying 1v1 to a mage with 100 more int, everyone loses their mind.

Mages dying 1v1 to a warrior, 30 str difference, no one bats an eyelid.

Don’t get me wrong, the multi proc of the same spell was a bug and was rightly fixed, however there’s still plenty of work to be done to not just mages but to warriors too for pvp to be balanced.


You talk about bug abuse what about exploit dyanmics of the game such as rvr help? whats going to be done about that? so nice after 4-5 years of darklegacy botting i,e chronos, dare, and dont say you dont because i am aware of who the pilot was who was paid thats without bought iitems @hawkmoon etc. but its so nice to see darklegacy do something about all these bugs etc so they can log in every 7 days not to play much inbetween. really brings out the fun in the game
