Next week archers are getting 1 arm tied behind there back.
Week after archers are having both legs tied together so they can’t run away. Week after that all archers are going to be hung, drawn and quartered and there heads stuck on spikes to show what happens if you dare become an archer. Week after that we start on mages.

It's funny that only few people with str mage type char is backing up this change...bow dmg was huge as you say but still doing x3 proc and weaken another 50% up dmg and 1 shot was all good ofc.
Casting and g bird was also good. Casting in less than a second with lvl 4 spells also good. Wearing melee gear and having def even in hero acc was also good. I wonder if melee type was so strong why most dl are mages...reroll guys to melee type and feel the power of getting banged 1 shot from a guy with just a staff+2 and some.proc bits...and ofc come to pk him with all the new changes with spear sword knuck...and taste the experience! Nerf mages if you want to balance the server cause it's not myth of soma anymore its myth of.mages...the most privilege class for many years and only class that was doing heavy dmg no matter what. Imagine if you see a fight of 2 mages because they will say get.more int a guy with over 240 int bang in like 1shot and a wind blow another mage with simular int if he gets the proc!which is insane! REAL nerf only 1 class needed for years and that was mages...proc and ability to stone made them.so powerful it's crazy see mage seek close range to a melee3 char. At dsoma changes might be good for hsoma wasnt since most.our side lost their effort of making bows....from Dl almost noone has been affected so its.easier to back up this change. A part from your obvious emotional rant here you have made some good enough points in regards to mages. (I will say that if I had an upgrade for my spells that removed 16% of cast time I would indeed +8 my staff and of course, an archer can also feather and attack with bow so..)
I don't think the damage per distance really is a good thing for balancing mages. I would just leave the original spell (spirit sword/ light sword / explosion) at max damage and just nerf proc damage around the board regardless of range. So I would do 70% damage on one proc, 50% damage on all procs after that regardless if you are at range 1 or range 10. Maybe Ramzo or someone like that would have better figures for this. Then I would nerf stone to 2 seconds and give mages 4th staff from Dsoma. Maybe a constant 4th staff or a longer duration than the current one on Dsoma.

Sorry cant g bird and bow at same time man it's not the same like the abuse mages was doing for years and we both know that...when you talk with me be honest.
When you can use as mage type same gear with me with high def my dmg is lower than it should be. And to add 16% off casting below 1 second that you cast was going to be like 0.8 seconds to cast. Wanna help get this game balance...I'll tell you how you can do that...! Get 4rth staff as devil's but reduce dmg done from procs to 50% and ofc not to be able to 1 shot a person with simular int as urs...or a player that wearing ancient upgraded ofc...! limiting procs has always been needed. its op as it is. i remember the days when you had to 2v1 someone to secure a kill not jump in and out and hope for a multi multi multi proc hit to 1/2 bang.
2 240 int mages shouldnt be able to 1/2 hit each other with procs

surely with this , if you have a 1 v 1 / 2 v 2 / 3 v 3 pk, Surely if there's bowers / mages / axes any1 can use proc to do the extra dmg. I understand the mage's having multiple but whats stopping other area's also having multiple?
I cba with pvp, Rather hunt , make gear and attempt ( when I can ) to help with wow. So my opinion may help / may not . But if u have a bower - 600-400 recoil bow + proc you will hit a mage like 90 - 99% of the time as they have the dex. A mage would focus on int - str ( str for more def ) so dex would be pants. 1 of my last times I got pked had kyuss come to elders in conti. Couldn't even hit him. Precast + feathered died 3 times and couldnt get 1 shot off. my last wow was 3 wow's ago, the Dev bows = 3 hit me. Imagine that dmg + proc? Dev vs human - as many complain - humans = mages , Surely theres enough tabs now to make a bower / axer / a proc set to counter balance abit of lost arm. + with the regards to mages having melee armour, Mages would surely need melle armour to help def of a melee char. I wouldnt have gone through the effort of [Epic] Bitter Bone Pads (M)+8 if the def did 0 for me vs a dev. There for if a mage only restricted to " int " armour then def is pants so in an even worse position.
Defense : 16~27 Weight : 25 Durability : 1918 Req. Str : 105 Water Attack Touch (7%)
