Soma has been bow and mage for so long now, games change things up all the time, especially MMO’s.

Every major MMO has meta crunchers working out the new best classes each expansion, WoW, FF14, etc.


Exactly this - boosting of close combat chars is great for the game, be interesting to see how it develops

It is in for mages, multiple procs still hurt tho and ma boosts attack. this is without weaken.

Do wonder if you guys pushing your aegnda for mages and trying to deter people from playing this server to promote abdos and mannings incoming server.

I don't know if it was needed in Devil Soma though nor if the impact off it should span PvE but it definitely was needed for PvP. Well over due. Nice one.

As for the % stepping, I think its fine, it has to be harsh to make a point ^^


Probably best you stick to the new server pal and implement it there.

Lol all this hate at the new server coming, even though the GM’s here have been cool about it.

I love how low IQ people decide to try to dismiss logical argument(s) via discrediting people claiming they have an agenda.

If the argument you’re trying to discredit is genuinely logical you’ll only convince other idiot’s there’s an ulterior motive, at best.

It’s pretty clear to see the people who have agenda’s just by dissecting their argument, whichever side they represent - same as always.

Anyway I think this is a good move but I also think close range damage is still off the scale - long way to go for balance but it’s a step in the right direction.

Also if an average mage can one hit an average archer and visa verse, that is not balance per se, that is just equal carnage.

The only exceptions are if dummies have like 100 str/int and walk around with nothing to boost DF/MD crying they get one banged, you one banged yourself.

this was overdue with the damage done over range already. slight tweak to how its calculated or the values could be done.

take % off the final damage done to a person

or make it
r3 90% then take 5% off a space

Content is needed like hoarse mode which is now released , not a change in dynamics at this late stage give the server age abs the double damage from the change in valour cost abs now triple damage to the bow with a damage need as the others aren’t affected.

I love how dl r trying to make mages remain dominant in game.

All other comments from dl side including their pve players, people like Luther who don’t play and people who are working on their new server. All agenda pushing!

I know its easy to demonise something or someone you don't know or don't understand but I suggest you just ask for clarity, from iSylver, for why it was put in. Its a great change and you should all be very glad for it as a significant step towards making all other weapons useful / viable.

Maybe your real complaint is the lack of notice of it, the commitments players have already made to making good bows. Either way, the bigger picture tells you is a great move, diverse pvp = yay. ^^ Happy days.

Not really diverse when it the cost is a whole classed is nerfed which is dex mage and one of the melee weapons only got changed. Mages have sustained damage. Agree with lions on his original reply. Hope the new server works out for you all.

I think your missing the bigger picture here, a couple more changes and you'll all be much more free to use the other weapons in the game for PVP. Something you should all want.

PS - I think you should really make the effort to understand the change before demanding it be removed. Talk to iSylver.

Do your research pal. SOMADEV. u out of testing phase for a very long time. No changes to the dynamics should be made at this stage. It will damage the games community. I hope the influenced changes to somadev puts people off playing especially as you seem to be justifying changing the dynamics after players have invested so much time on gear etc.

Also as regards for changes to balance out pvp? The change should of come as a whole system, but add selective components to make a system.
