Not saying I want bow to be a useless class but the fact some think they should be able to shift a top defensive axer is completely ridiculous.[/quote] We're not saying an archer should be able to shift a capped axer in the slightest, it's the fact bow now does very little damage to any capped character (bar a mage)....to be a viable class it needs a boost again...with dex being capped their big dex advantage is quite quickly eaten into by many classes (especially when cap is raised) and they also lost the higher defence they were intended to have due to the change....yes axe and other classes needed the con/str change but that combined with the dex cap is making archers pointless now and as waga is trying to say you will lose a large player base if archers become pointless. You all go on about range, but what good is range if you are dealing the damage of a pea shooter? I'm not even saying they should be able to deal more damage, but they need some sort of advantage over other classes, but this will be lost if they can't gain dex anymore and/or con stays useless. Gene saying it was tested by GMS at cap is all well and good, but testing things in isolation is pointless because it doesn't take into account the many other factors required for a delicate balance, it's like the way we study things in science, in isolation the data obtained is only so useful and unfortunately the Gms only have so much time to test things.[/quote]
