A brief overview of how to build your character in your journeys throughout The Myth of Soma.
Human World Stats
When it comes to playing a Human player on the Myth of Soma, Strength is vital to keeping you alive. This provides you with melee defence and attack power. As you level through your journey to becoming a true warrior you will come across monsters that are stronger and take longer to kill. This also provides you with good PVP (Player vs. Player) skills to stand up and take a beating.
Dexterity provides you with accuracy and dodge rate. Higher Dexterity means you can hit monsters far more easier which helps you kill them faster. This also provides you with accuracy in PVP to be able to hit your opponents. The dodge rate with Dexterity is to provide you with the chance to hunt higher monsters without them hitting you that often and to provide you with extra tactics against other players.
Constitution is very helpful when it comes to levelling a Human; this provides you with higher HP (Health Points) gains when you level up and also having higher Constitution means you recover HP faster. On Humans, getting the right Constitution is vital to gaining that extra HP a level. The current gains for extra HP are as follows. At 14, 18, 22, 26, 30 Constitution you receive 1 extra hp a level. Also at 12, 16, 20, 24, 28 Constitution you receive 1 extra Bag weight point a level.
Using magic on any game has its advantages and disadvantages. On the Myth of Soma you can learn both melee weapons and magic spells. Intelligence for Humans allows you to learn new spells depending on your Intelligence and the required magic skill mastery such as Blue, Black, and White. Blue allows you to learn healing spells and eventually some of the strongest spells. Black provides you with spells such as blind which stops your enemies from seeing where they are going and who and what is around them. White allows you to cure ailments casted on you such as blind etc.
Intelligence on Humans is magic defence and attack. The higher your Intelligence the higher magic attack and defence you get.
Wisdom is also used for magic on Humans to provide you with higher MP (Mana Points) gains so you can cast more spells without needing to regain MP. Wisdom also allows you to regain your MP faster depending on your Wisdom level. Higher your Wisdom level, the faster you recover.
Devil World Stats
Strength for Devils works in a slightly different way to Humans. Strength is used to receive higher attack points against monsters and during PVP battles. Having high Strength means you do a lot more damage to your opponent. Having very high Strength doesn�t make you the strongest though; Devils rely on their Constitution and Dexterity to becoming that almighty warrior. When you level and gain Strength, the more Strength you gain a level, the higher the HP (Health Points) you receive.
Dexterity for Devils works in the same way as it does for Humans. This provides you with the accuracy and dodge rate against monsters and during PVP battles. Having high Dexterity is always the best option as this could ultimately help you on your way to becoming a very strong player. Having the accuracy to hit your opponents is always the best defence and provides you with a better offence too.
Constitution for Devils works in a different way to Humans. Constitution is your defence on a Devil. Having high Constitution is vital for hunting monsters and in PVP battles. This means you don�t rely on your armour to protect you but to rely on BOTH.
Intelligence on Devils works slightly different to Humans. Devils have specific classes in which you can use. Such as an Archer, Knuckler, Magician etc. Magician�s on Devils are a set class which you can learn magic spells and protect against magic better than Melee Devils.
Intelligence is used for magic attack. This factors how much damage you can deal to your enemies. Having higher Intelligence has a positive effect gaining the ability to learn new spells which do more damage and can cause other effects such as blind and heal etc.
Devils Wisdom is used for defence to provide you with high magic defence against your enemies. If your opponent has high Wisdom, this means your spells won�t do as much damage as someone with low Wisdom.
Human & Devil World Charisma
Charisma on both worlds is used for the same reason. Gaining Charisma means you can build an Alliance with other Guilds to fight against opposing Guilds. This gives you a tactical advantage of winning Guild Village War. Having the correct amount of Charisma means you can be in an Alliance with other guilds which would allow the use of the TRACE function for allied council members. The only difference is Devils need a requirement of 35 Charisma to make a guild.
