The issue we face is rvr at thre 100 percent cap as we're no longer touching defense we're touching damage as a whole.
Hsoma 100 vs Dsoma 100 Hsoma warrior does 5 damage to a Dsoma warrior Hsoma vs Dsoma 95 Hsoma warrior does 5 damage to Dsoma warrior Rinse repeat - unless we increased the percentage upper limit. Hope this makes sense, wrote on my phone.

What about a player attacking another player who is on a lower %?
If you only apply the reduction to the damage output then then a defending player on a lower % will not take increased damage. |

problem with RvR tho is uv took 20% of EVERY level devil
20% off a lvl 100 20% off a lvl 90 20% off a lvl 80 20% off a lvl70 at some point those that could have took part cant because of the % nerf and then took off 5% from every level human ???????????????? humans don't need nerfing like that, they need nerfing depending on how many turn up vs how many devils turn up 1 dmg is nothing, 500 x1 dmgs is death (example, humans don't deal 1 dmg to me :P)

Let's not make a mountain of a molehill.
Yes, Jaragoondoo is correct but there need be no change other than % resetting back after a loss. As far as RvR is concerned, revert the magic attack/defence correction. You'd be able to lower Dsoma % meaning melee would be more manageable by humans and devils wouldn't be 2 hit by magic... Like it was before. That 'fix' ironically did far more harm than good.

Or you could give humans a wotw armour set similar to hero.
Much easier than all these background changes pissing people off. Just give humans a set of weapons with specially added stats or something. |

Not sure who you're addressing in your molehill comment but your solution offers no solution to the above issue with a damage based calc that both finito and I questioned above. Theoretically if I'm doing 1 damage to a character on 100% and still 1 damage to them if they're on 5% is that a good solution?
Con/str int/wis and the defensive stats will be switched back in the Dsoma rework.

I'm addressing the "problem" which is not a "problem" because the situation will not arise if the % changes rectify themselves upon a loss.
Bemused that my post isn't constructive to you though... I'm simply saying that doing nothing is better than making a pigs ear of it like the MA/MD change at wotw and your soon to come str/con int/wis revert. I'm more confused at how you cannot see that it will ruin your game.

Personally, I feel this is already a mountain of a problem, and resetting it back to 100% introduces a different problem (no-show/uncontested GVW until Coven are back at a low %), so sorry s0rc I don't like your solution.
Personally, I don't think DEX should be affected by the % system (for reasons Jaheira posted). I believe the reason for wanting it to be affected is due to RvR balance (humans can't hit devils), and I have a different solution for that: LOWER BASE DEX OF ALL DEVILS EQUALLY With the new DSoma stat patch coming soon (the one S0rc hates so much, but I actually like the idea), you will be able to change the DEX guides for all classes. Currently the DEX guides for level 100s looks something like this (doing this from memory, forgive me if I'm incorrect): Axe - 130 Spear - 150 Sword - 170 Knux - 190 Bow - 210 Mage - sorry forgot Why not adjust these guides to be something like this: Axe - 100 Spear - 120 Sword - 140 Knux - 160 Bow - 180 Mage - sorry forgot This brings Devil dex somewhat more inline with Human dex without affecting balance between the classes themselves (relative to each other their dex is the same). You could do the same thing with STR to bring our STR more inline with human STR too (I only see this as helping RvR balance). But anyway, that's a seperate issue so I'll leave it at that. "FINITO"What about a player attacking another player who is on a lower %? I think you should do something similar with damage taken by the player on lower %. E.g. If a player would normally take 100 damage from an attack, at 70% they should take 30% increased damage (100-70). So they would take 130 damage in this instance. At 50% they would take 50% increased damage (100-50), so 150 Damage, at 10% they would take 90% increased damage (100-90), so 190 damage and so on. Personally, I think DEFENSE should be left as is (the current % system), but that's one way you could do it. EDIT: If you change Devil DEX/STR guides to be lower, then you will have to re-balance all the mobs we hunt, so this would be quite a bit of an undertaking.

"JARAGOONDOO"so sorry s0rc I don't like your solution. Care to give me a real world example of where the issue you're referring to has actually ever occured? The changes you are requesting would impact everyone immediately whereas the problem you address hasn't even happened to anyone and will become even less of a problem if % resets upon losses.

Don't see why gvw would be no shows or uncontested there must be about 5 coven members that actually play if that.
Not sure why some act like Coven is still some huge active guild, we're not. Maybe the term quality not quantity best describes us but there's definitely far more non Coven. If it's uncontested/no show it's because players can't be bothered to go.

I believe Evil_JR made a post about 80 of you GVW wins being uncontested (was just him standing on the stone alone). That evidence enough of what would happen if you're on 100%? Or do you remember how WotW went when Devil % would reset back to 100%? Humans would no-show for WEEKS.

"S0RCERER"That happened because nobody ever attended the wars... ever. And that's exactly what will happen again if it goes back to 100%. As things stand right now, I know I won't attend, don't find much fun in hitting Gene for 30 minutes, then going back town to repair my knuckle, just to hit you for another 30 minutes. Anyway, please keep it on topic :P
