You have a 100 axer?
We can do that now since you don't believe me doing it on gene + path. |

"PATHOLOGIST"You have a 100 axer? Was a typo, you know the three chars I play, bow, spear and sword. Edit: and no it's not just vs gene have had the same issue against other axers on the other two classes for a long while.

"PATHOLOGIST" This seems to be true for you aswell. You cling on to a previous situation. It applies to the whole of DSoma. Should we continue to tweak with the current set or actually try to make anything out of it using a new basis? The current system is not workable in the long term, from a developers point of view. Even if this would stink for the players. GVW percentages are for HSoma mainly. Though you can't say Coven doesn't dominate GVW can you? Yes there are many factors that influence this, including (lack of) rewards for the guild village. But it doesn't change the fact that Coven has dominated it the most. You may also recall that the % change has already been changed, based on your feedback, to go up more quickly too. Do you even want to be heard? You hardly post ideas. You post what you think are mistakes. And that's it, no alternatives no good ideas, just a lot of shouting that we are making gamebreaking mistakes. Yet the game hasn't broken. It's picking up. Where is your reason? Isn't this part of being considerate or at least constructive? Isn't that part of being reasonable? This may be a language barrier but it seems simple to me. Using words like constantly doesn't help. So we do nothing right? Thanks man, this is really helpful and motivating to make a game for you. Just so you can point out our mistakes.. Without any help as to how to solve them. Other than 'revert this and the game will be healed!' When it is the world against you. Don't you think there's a reason for that? Either you are making yourself unheard by being inconsiderate or you are wrong. Which is something that seems inconceivable to you. Even if once you guys had said 'interesting idea guys. I completely disagree and I think it will break the game. Could we have a test server first?' Then if you are right the test server will show the truth. You may wonder why I make posts like these. But I am only trying to pull some useful information out of you guys. I know you guys are smart but you're also stubborn (as most humans are tbh) and you take your own opinion and your way of working as the truth. You know who we listen to. Do you understand why we listen to them? Let's do some selfreflection. Lets start in this thread, looking back at your posts. How many can we actually use to update the game. How many of them ONLY pointed out a mistake without any suggestions on how to fix it? PS. I don't expect you to always be considerate. I'm not either, I know that of myself. Just realise that being considerate (constructive) helps communicating your point across. How helpful is it to hear: You are wrong. You are wrong. You are wrong. That is idiotic. You are wrong. No further explenation.

Well put Ghostlord.
I hope you understand that myself and the vast majority of players are very appreciative of the work you guys do to the server. Going a bit off topic, but just in reply to some of the comments that jave been posted: DSoma stat change patch will introduce bugs and issues in the short-term, but in the long term I see it as the best way forward. Isn't that a good thing? This isn't just another Soma pserver, this is a long term server that will last for many years to come. And we need solutions that will work in the long-term. This gives me a lot of faith in the GMs that they really are making changes for the greater good. Axer 2nd aura is broken. I've been saying this for years (long before Genefuser was even a thing, don't believe me then look at my post history). The problem with PD is that it scales with STR, it is the only passive aura in the game that gets stronger in it's effectiveness the more STR you get. Low levels it doesn't give much defense, but with 290 str it's giving an extra 45ish defense. That's like 2 extra pieces of armour. Anyway, I'll leave it that as we're going off topic again and i cba to type more on my phone ;)

"GHOSTLORD""PATHOLOGIST" Was going to make a post like this myself last night, but yeah we are all bias in our own ways and all human, we weren't really designed to be sat at computers with these primal instincts, so of course we all make mistakes, act defensively etc...we need to try to work together on a system that can be tweaked and worked to make things balanced and appeal to the broadest audience....soma is never going to be a big game but this server has been the best in terms of how it plays and I'm sure it will continue to move in that direction. Those of us who have picked a certain class or favor one system over another can't really make the final decisions because of the above, it has to be made by someone who doesn't have this bias. But constructive feedback will help them make informed decisions i'm sure. So path/gene/INT, why not make suggestions for addressing potential flaws you believe will be present in the proposed system? Why not make a point for axers (or whatever class) to have more points to spend or something along those lines? (with a just argument to follow) Again sorry for OT.

"GHOSTLORD""PATHOLOGIST" This is rich Ghost... Really it is. We have always asked to have things tested before changes are made and they never are. Ideas are rejected because the initial implementation has flaws so easy to see that it would be better they were not implemented than if they were. You have said a couple of times now that we are stuck in the past... Well you seem to want to change things simply for the sake of changing things which is absolutely ridiculous! You say that the current design is impossible to balance going forwards... This is quite simply an untruth, there have been countless ideas put forth that would work i.e. from level 100 onwards you are given set stats to use upon level up. What would you rather do? Change the ENTIRE DAMN GAME just for the level 100-105...

Why are all the melee classes suddenly rising up against axers? Just get a mage and just see the damage dealt to the axer... also i'm not saying that I own a capped character or anything, but the stat allocation removes one of the main principles of DSoma; punching and choosing how you want your character (more possibilities than the upcoming changes -i'm not saying I dread the upcoming patch, other things about it seem decent). The idea that there will only be 1 build for each class is more or less making the game boring, the only fun will maybe be at WotW...
Also account an axer`s strength, compared to an archer`s dex... to a mage's intelligence... it's their key stat that makes them the class they are.

I wont be playing after patch.
Only reason im levelling my human. Love the idea of stat allocation post lvl 100 Pre 100 will kill dsoma.. who cares about the majority so long as 4/5 shitters are happy everything is fine.. Who wants to see yellow or blue gains Aiming to hit stat targets Trying to land .9 before str slows The struggle between mobs The str slows... Etc.. Lets remove the full game mechanics.... Change the name to pokemon soma and lower the age limit to a 3.. who needs to know anything about soma when all you have to do is guess where to click in disaster9 and hit anything that makes that little number move at bottom of screen

Problems with mages were signalled back in the early days of the server's life but were ignored. Stat ratios could've been altered before anyone reached the crippling slowdowns that force mages to punch but when suggested were met with "We refuse to change stat ratios". Strange that when it was a problem that would've impacted nobody in a negative way, change was refused. Now that players have invested tens of thousands of hours into their characters, the idea is now to effectively wipe Dsoma and make everyone clones of eachother. Ghosts reply is riddled with hypocrisy which is so simple to observe by searching this forum for what he has said in the past on the subject of Dsoma balance. P.S. FAO Ghost, the reason we don't play much anymore is precisely because feedback is never listened to. "GHOSTLORD"Do you even want to be heard? You hardly post ideas. I'm lost for words.
