Because the system is broke so it's the only way to possibly get a drop or force someone to tp. You are a clever man jac don't try and twist people's words.

"MITCHY".... don't try and twist people's words. As a person who had been "grieffed" (Insert various definitions here) by Pikutin who appears to now be advocating against grieffing, I think it is a relevant question and not a twist of his words at all. Besides, you were present at the instance I am talking of and know, first hand, precisely what happened. Jac

Look all you people who moan about being grieffed use a bloody tp or run. You don't like it tough, there is no rule against killing someone who allows it. I would describe grieffing as killing a player multiple times within a short period at different points. Because you were at gargoyle warrior and let yourself be killed several times isn't grieffing. If you wind people up by shouting insults at them for killing you it'll just keep happening. As far as I saw those guys simply pk'd you and you lost your temper and gave it the big mouth once you'd warped.

Remove the revive option if your grey. Will give the "good guys" incentive to come take care of pkers. The aggressor should have more penalties. Problem is people don't want the grife of taking on groups when they will be targeted after for doing so. The pk system in soma is left wide open to abuse. Imagen if on e soma flesh, sabre etc and a large amount of the top tier guys grouped up and pked every one, there's nothing stopping them doing it and no real consequences that will affect their game play that much. Where as the rest of the server suffers and becomes frustrated.
It's very easy to say its care bear, but your not the victim of this type of game play. It's fun at other peoples expense.

"MITCHY" Because you were at gargoyle warrior and let yourself be killed several times isn't grieffing I couldn't disagree more. The Gargoyle Warrior spawned as a result of the Sacred Stone event of which I went to and enjoyed (and got a lot of pos for defending a stone). At the GW he/they targeted me with the express purpose of preventing me form being able to kill the GW. I resurrected because, I wanted a chance to kill the boss. They attacked no one else, just me. That's grieffing. "MITCHY" Wrong. I had no contact with them prior to the spawn of the GW. I shouted at them afterwards. I was too busy trying to stay alive and get a chance at killing the GW to do anything else. I haven't complained. If someone decides to PK another player repeatedly (especially at a boss) the grieffed player is likely to be "a tad frustrated". Either the keyboard gets destroyed or abuse is hurled. I chose the later. These people have access to multiple accounts (bought/borrowed/shared) and I don't even know why they are asking for more PK facilities since they can just hop onto another character and go and buy whatever they like. They only seem to log the PKers with the specific purpose of helping their mates at bosses by killing non-guild members. Don't think I am right? Why didn't they attack their alt guildies? Jac

Player killing, or PKing, is unrestricted PvP resulting in a character's death. Some games offer open PvP (also sometimes called world PvP), where one player can attack another without warning anywhere in the game world. A pure PK game is one where PvP conflict is the only gameplay offered. Ganking (short for gang killing) is a type of PKing in which the killer has a significant advantage over his victim, such as being part of a group, being a higher level, or attacking the victim while they are at low health.
Character death in an online game usually comes with a penalty (though some games remove it from PvP combat), so habitual PKers can find themselves ostracized by the local community. In some games a character will die many times and the player must often sacrifice some experience points (XP) or in-game currency to restore that character to life. Permanent death (such that the player must create a new character) is relatively uncommon in online games, especially if PKing is permitted. An example of such a mode is Hardcore mode on the game Diablo II. Just thought i would copy and paste a description from wiki to here showing exactly what pking is considering a lot of people here don't know what it is.

"BRITKING95"Wait did you seriously ask why they didn't kill their own guildies rofl? It's not quite that simple. The GMs introduced measures to counter a problem with the Guild Village War. The GMs warned that the new measures should not be circumvented. In fact, some people DID circumvent the measures resulting in the wrath of the GM(s). In doing so, these people created additional guilds to defeat the GVW mechanics. Those guilds still exist with their borrowed/bought/alt characters. Everything you posted about the "world of PvP" in other games is likewise circumvented by this structure. In essence, they get to play the PKers (and gank), they get to protect their "guildies" in their "main" guild by using their "created guild". They get to play their non-PK characters and hunt without fear. They get to prevent people from outside of their circle from downing a boss. All of which they get with no punitive consequence (which you described in detail in your post). And then, they have the nerve to demand better facilities for PKers. PKing "per se" is fine (this is a PvP server). What some people do is simply bang out of order and discredits the game. Just look at how many people are playing now - a lot, right? Is it because of a competitive PvP environment or it is because of the GMs improvements? Jac

Jack don't act asif that was the first time you hurled abuse at them. They need no reasons why they want to pk you, they simply can. Char sharing happens, it's part of the game also so can't complain there. If you don't like being pk'd that's unfortunate and you've gotta deal with it.
