Thats the thing though I doubt he did it over a "bad day" more like a bad long period of time imo. Someone that punches from level 1-100 doesn't just quit over a bad day.

Fair points made by both human/ devs... Still some imbalances ofc. But upcoming update... gms trying to address these things, and they maybe far from perfect. But...
They always tried to redress imbalances.. and changes can always be made bit by bit.
Have faith.. you wont find out if u leave

Server 4 years old now... and with a fairly healthy uc.... gm's cant be doing too bad a job !

If you knew intheface, he doesn't give up just on a whim.

It was a long time coming - dare I say he only clung to soma because he had some unfinished business.

Right, a little update from me on this as unfortunately my input is lacking of late due to illness/work and family bits.

We generally do care about the community and their feedback in fact sometimes too much as its always conflicting. This causes us decision paralysis which means nothing ever changes. We have a test server where we can attempt to be agile and test things (Build, measure learn). However, we're never going to have the right amout of test subjects without putting the changes live.

In the past we'd make a change see how it went and made a judgement call on it and that worked much better than what is currently happening. We will now start to action based on our thoughts and insights we will listen to the community but it will also be taken with a pinch of salt at times.

It's sad to see intheface go, he generally is a nice guy and had played soma for sometime.. However, he is one player at the end of the day.

As for the test server I've fedback on what i want changed - lower str/reqs on gear and dsoma being able to use tbows etc and also experimenting with no class specific guides.

Ultimately if the dsoma stat change is an absolute nightmare it's easily reversible with insane rates up until your current level (heck it'd allow people to re engineer their characters somewhat).

Now the above may be a bitter pill to swallow for some but generally we have to realise that the reason this game has got to where it has today is because of our teams input and ability to work for nothing - our motivation was always creating something great (not to be a middle man between dudes arguing on the internet).

TLDR: We either start to implement now or watch it rot from the outside due to decision paralysis.

Thanks for the reply Isylver, also thanks for keeping this thread civil as I said this was an opinion poll essentially when I posted it.

If patch is around the corner, what about one last double xp weekend to give us a chance to catch up :) I'm sure many people would like a final push prior to release

Nice decision .. will there be a spawn of these new mobs on all maps so there's enough to go round for all the players?

I've never played dsoma Dan so hopefully an unbiased view.

I don't get what's wrong with punching, looks like hardly any chars punched a full 100 levels.

Can't you just do your changes and make no punching after lvl 100?

I really don't understand why you trying so much work when it's hardly broken.

Same with hsoma and healing for int and doing -50 from the start. If you put the hours in you get the stats.

Yesterday I was hunting in conti with two other humans, 1 i believe is caped or close, myself and the other are around level 70. We were attacked by one (presumably) capped devil. All 3 of us. We couldn't take him down even with int.

We forced him to tp once. He came back with better gear and beat us. So thats a high level human and 2 mid level humans against one high level devil, and you think the game is balanced in favour of humans?

If you dislike the way dsoma works, why play dsoma?

hsoma vs dsoma is only balanced for 1v1 whn devs r on shitty % if both r on 100% humans cannot 1v1 a dev ever, whn esoma was up the only reason devs got made so bad ass was because humans out number'd the devs atleast 5 to 1 now tht is not the case as you can see whn devs want conti or want bosses from SS they can easily out number the humans, then there is no contest, and whn devs r on high % theres no contest, at the end of the day no matter how u look at it atm devs r very strong against humans. intheface could take on 5-10 humans solo on high rvr% tht should not happin tbh there is lieteraly 0 humans who can do tht to devils so how is tht anywhere near balanced?
what i would like to see is balance, user count aside if humans have 20 ppl and devils have 20 ppl all i want is a balanced fight. how do we get to tht? maybe find the perfect % balance n keep it there? im not sure but all i can read atm from ppl tht play dsoma is this new patch will not balance it out so what else can b done?
as a community lets give the gm's some good ideas without ppl starting arguments, if we dont like the current route its going.
