When did I claim there wasn’t a weakness vs a specific class? I actually said that was exactly the case.

I’d be interested to see some testing done.

Ibex was sub 100 and in testing could 2 shot Sharpi at 110, 3 shot at the most

No other class with this level difference would be capable of these advantages

Might I also point out the title of said video being 'merlin spanking' on a vid of 1v1 called that you cant really try claim you have any form of weakness or disadvantage against that class

So you one shot with weaken on a solo proc and your how many levels behind?

You even say in the video "lol need zombie to kill a mage" or whatever it was

And guessing as merlin hasn't been around very long your gear is only half decent at a push

See a few of you saying "if 2 archers click lock you the same time" (I've seen this be out potted quite often)

what do you think happens when two mages are on someone one mage has precast weaken the other explosion....

Sam unfortunately what you’re suggesting for Encore would require some level of tactics both in gearing and PvP. I’m pretty sure they’re incapable of this kind of thinking after reading all their posts recently. It seems to me their belief is not to learn to play a class, gear/allocate and use tactics/make adjustments, but to beg for unwarranted buffs.

I think our words are wasted on them, but everyone else can clearly see the selective and biased bs they’re spurting out constantly.

Without proc mages deal roughly 25-30% damage against an archer, they easily receive the same (often more) per hit every hit while being stopped from attacking, can you imagine how boring pvp would be if your melee attack got interrupted because you took a hit?
Add in pod sets and 4th auras it's easily the equivalent of a proc (ignoring pod sets providing 20% chance rather than 5% proc)


Yes easily one shot. It's not hard to get a proc with the sets some people have these days... Seen a few 40-50% proc sets about

Most the the players can your right. But never know with the Gm's who are the ones who can give said begged for buffs.

Just have to look at any "ideas" thread posted by them it's just the whole Encore guild "+1 great idea" nonsense hoping that if they all spam It together they can influence the Gms decision into buffing them

ok im biting here but this is the set i used against influence in afro video
it blatantly shows i dont stand a chance dropping him 1v1 but thats not the point here (actually had a better nek which i rip'd after) . i threw the zombie comment at him to get a bite and it worked was all, realistically nobody should drop in pvp without zombie when 1v1 (except mages vs swords and spears as can be one hit)

and FYI merlin was actually created day 1 of this server so do some homework before spouting rubbish :)

sadly this thread was productive for a while and now its just the usual bs

and to musa i have no recording software currently but did test and mage vs 110 axer does 27% damage without ma access ( which would be needed if wanted highest proc %)
with outrageously good ma access (proc armour) did 34% per hit.
so would substantially drop vs other classes as their wis is much higher
this was against a capped axer with 88 wis as thats all i have left after melee stats
incidentally i dealt 36-42% damage each hit with 0 attack gear and intense aoo

Everybody keeps saying 'testing' as though this were the be-all end-all argument but tbf a Type-B analysis from an experienced player should be sufficient to get a good impression of what is possible - that is if you were to roughly guess the upper and lower limits and assume a (probably) normal distribution between the two we would basically know what was going on.

Not that i'm that experienced but in the limited experience I do have Archer is clearly OP, mage is okay in the sense that it kills fast, dies fast.

Everybody else needs a buff - 5th sword to 200%?
