"SAL3M"80%+ have bought items, multied (which isn’t even against the rules), own tens or more of characters that they did not create to their massive advantage (transfer of characters between persons is explicitly stated to be against the rules), botted, piloted etc. He is the main one and still does it, botting on brave, Sandokan is botting collecting mats constantly. Both chars also bought with RL cash. People don't want a known and proven cheat as a council member. He has only ever released podcasts that a small number of the soma community has listened to, no one has ever joined the game listening to his casts.

If you don’t know all of this you are just delusional or willingly naive. It is just deranged the way Matty is used as a scapegoat as though he’s the only person who has ever broken the rules.

i especially like 3 or 4 rage quits. people say they will quit a 2001 game to make a point in online forum discussion. i thought its so ancient and should belong in museums, and here it is.
spectacular. |

I stopped playing for about 3 years and came across his videos and decided to play again, and I've been playing ever since.

At this point so I am lead to believe Soma is on life support.
Your only priority should be player retention and getting old people back. (Face facts no new player will play this game that’s never played the original) Putting Sub on the council is so divisive, is it worth it that 2 people from him opposition see that and don’t return? No. Also anvil change. Don’t be carebear, and don’t pussy around the issue. Ask yourself are people really going to return for +1 and +2? No they are not. Get someone like MickyC on the council who is a player who wants to return and doesn’t walk around in fantasy land all day.

this whole thread is an example how communication can backfire. if foxtrck would have replaced word "community council" to "tech team" we could have avoided this excessive keyboard mileage
i try to distant myself from all the drama, but all i see here is: "he bought items with cash" "but he got punished for it" "it doesnt mattter, he will ruin the game" "but he is there jsut to post podcasts and vids" "it doesnt matter, he will ruin soma" "but ravensoul will address community issues" "it doesnt matter, sub will ruin the game" cmon guys, give them some time to show results before judging.

"OPENTHEDOOR"At this point so I am lead to believe Soma is on life support. I have to agree. There's so many players quit over the years for whatever reasons. Player retention is an absolute must. The way things are atm PvP is dead. I have tried talking with my guild members though WhatsApp to return but there's quite a few reasons why they don't want to return from poor drops, anvil, needs new content but most of all is this Subxero situation. Imo the larger Guilds who engage in PvP need each other in terms of PvP. There is very small pockets of PvP here and there but half of the time I can't even be bothered as there's no excitement in being chased around. I will say again, player retention is a must as you will increase the UC bringing old players back rather than seek new players who like OTD has said, never played the game before. I hope GM's are reading players concerns and take them all into account.

Like stated earlier here and on discord, if any member of the community has the time to help in this venture, they are welcome to. It’s a huge time sink making new content etc, and I thank everyone who is part of the project thus far. Anyone able to help, just contact us, state your willingness to commit and work towards a better soma and join the group helping us to move forward.

Tbh don't care about matty but I can see why people think having him on this council is a complete and utter joke. You might get a new player once in a blue moon but it's probably so rare it's not even worth considering.

I would like to apologies on behalf of the volunteers group of the use of the word " council " most that know me know I felt strongly about that word being used due to nobody being elected etc. The group of volunteers trying to help Isylver and Finito be able to spend more time working there magic on Soma are doing this in there free time to help in anyway they can in making Soma more enjoyable and fun to play.
As cho has said anyone that feels that they can help get in touch with cho, because the more people helping can only be for the best for this great game we all love.

Agreed however, everyone's concerns must be addressed or the game becomes a game that they don't love. I'm absolutely all for yourself and the others stepping up and do what you're doing. But then with the council taking on this responsibility, then you must be prepared to try and answer questions from member of the community. My main question is, is there anything being done or planned in regards to player retention? I feel player retention is a major factor in the rise of the UC and I feel it's being overlooked.

Player retention is my main goal of this venture. We’re having a voice discussion on Sunday open to all, we are looking at reasons people quit and have quit for, and are looking at ways they can be addressed, hence the +50 changes, healing changes, anvil alterations, devil soma drops, new weapons, etc
