keep it but.

change the formula to add a day/time so it will only register 2 kills on the same person / deaths from the same person in a 24 hour period. obviously keep the pk feed as is. this change will auto re-adjust all the existing k/d without the need to remove kills etc

maybe add in a lvl range on the kill too so if a kill is > 10 lvl range doesn't add to Kills or Deaths but still shows on feed

people giving themselves immunity etc to attend a boss etc. who cares if im honest there k/d will still be affected if its that big of a deal.

Or make it so that deaths are irrelevant, only kills are rewarded

Becomes a pk system instead of a kill/death ratio

Would make people happy to get involved and promote more pvp

No it would just encourage players farming pve players again.

Feed is enough, and the videos what come of pk fights promote the pk aspect of the game, not farming alts or pking players that dont pvp for some # by your char in the armoury.

If KD ratio is to remain, PvP NEEDS to change...

~It first needs a reset; the game has changed so much in the last few years, and plenty of players have KD boosted, at present nobody's KD ratio is an accurate representation of skill, gear or pvp success in the games current PVP dynamics, and if its to change further, resetting it would be even more necessary.

~PK range needs to be lowered, ideally to 5 below and 10 above; this means you cannot farm players much lower than you, a 20 lvl gap is HUGE in regards to stats and gear, killing someone lvl 105 at 125 requires zero skill whatsoever, it also gives those a chance who are 115+ to join in endgame PK if they think they're Man/Woman enough.

~Attacking wicked/devil morale characters needs to be altered to 10 below and 20 above, again preventing certain aspects of grieffing and/or KD boosting.

~I've been toying with the idea that wicked/devil morale players need some sort of safe haven. I realise it goes against the point of being negative morale, and there should be some sort of cool down, limit, entry fee or some control over how it would be used, but to have NOWHERE safe, seems a little odd. Plus a better gypo/PK Town would be nice, get all the naughty gits socialising in one place, accessed by negative morale players only, but not whilst grey, obviously.

pk range of 20 is ok if it doesn't go towards K/D.

a change to how it calculates is pretty much all it needs to remove all the spam kills automatically

Allow weapon skill to go to 250/300 but keep cap the same. means people will sacrifice being able to switch weps to go for more damage overall

i agree with 5th being changed to 200 and skill cap being back at 370, cos atm theres way to many axe/staff builds, overall +1 to all of it

Make it so you can only pk players 10 levels below you unless they engage and at which point are flagged for pvp.

Have the new moderator hold pvp events where guilds can opt in and within x time frame all kills on the feed are tallied up. Whoever gets the most kills gets bragging rights and a server wide shout out. This gives people something to gloat about in discord.

dont mind them having somewhere safe, also agree it needs some sort of limit on it, the issue with this, it would require another map and possibly have a countdown timer to enter so they cant just run to safety where no one can retaliate

100% agree, and should have been dealt with as soon as matty activated his pos macro in discord, you nolonger can hide online anymore, as full guild list and assosiate guild list are added to pos macro to instantly see whos online

+1 to all except I'm not sure I agree low moral characters need any more safe spaces - you need to pay a penalty for being low moral imo esp as moral goes up so quickly anyway.

Overall I'd still sooner see k/d removed and have people less averse to dying. I agree with Zyzz that bragging rights can come from videos/feed if you want to go down that route.

The biggest issue limiting it to 1 proc means every1 will go just db as its strongest and all others will be redundant

And the ma cap isn't relevant in dsoma as nobody can hit it against another char, if proc got removed completely magic interupt on hit should be removed too

lazarus back in the days with full ma could still 1 bang with no proc a meele it just requires more planning and skill to pull it off than now

Lazarus back in the days also has 30 ish more int at lvl100 than mages do now whilst melee also had less md then too
