time for lev cap + mayb?

whilst all the efforts by gms to add new content is much appreciated.. Making new upgrades... pots/ potions and lotions to add a few posion/slows etc to items,. these all ad + 1 to an item ... we want our +s to be eva or accuracy for maximum effect.

There are quite a few lev 100+ now...and must be many lev 90+ .

Lev 100's proly want more int... or more str.. or more dex... Its a slog to grind/farm for mats for some upgrades with a very harsh upgrade system.

Possibly,.. new map/ duplicated map/ new mobs ..lev cap + 120 ..with major slowdowns in xp ..

Lots of ppl here waiting for more stats ( int/dex/ str ) not just a few potions n lotions.

Just an idea .. a few hi levs may return with more things to gain.

stats stats stats are what is needed.

If we had to wait for linny to get to cap before raise, we'd literally all be dead irl from old age. If cap does raise obv new mobs would be needed above blg/nm too.

Just going by this list the bought sold or pilot chars wouldnt rven br close to 100. I dont think they should be included when deciding to raise the cap. Gvw becomes fun more recently as the mid levels are catching up. There are a number of lvl 80+ people who used pilots too and not close to cap so why raise it? We will just end up with boring gvws as previously where a few very strong miles ahead of everyone else chars will dominate

To give 5 people who capped "normally" more stuff to do?
Or let the 20-30-40? However many mid levels catch up?

Dont raise it, give it 6 months.

Luckily 2015 will be just as a long as the other years. Plenty of time. :P

If it is not to be raised, items should be more realistically obtainable.

If you're gaining stats, the rarity of drops isn't so bad as you're at least gaining stats.

If the items are still hellishly rare yet you gain no stats in the process, the game becomes tedious.

Raising the cap would without question need the introduction of new content. Something Dan is doing well with at present.

Only 2 solo players to cap were plum and lupi, neither of which had a job between them. If cap was raised nothing would change, the same people would just hit the cap again (excluding those who don't intend on coming back). Soma is about the hours invested, nothing more.

You could make it so its all about hours invested but the hardcores will be so far ahead the average player will have no chance of competing and not bother to play.

Imagine there was no level cap and Plum / chinese were still leveling? Im sure they would be so far ahead of everyone else due to hours played / miles ahead of everyone else that the average player would just stop bothering.

A reasonable level cap is required to keep the game alive. By all means you could make it a hardcore race but eventually people would give up. For the longevity of the server the level cap needs to be kept reasonably in reach for the average person.

If you want soma to still be going strong in months / years to come, the game needs to be tailored towards gearing at cap rather than just level. (Which is what test server was and why it successfully lasted so long)

Do a similar system to Diablo 3's paragon at cap, Can level on whatever you want and at the end of each level you can get +1 str dex or int. Then when you level, each level becomes 10~20% longer than the last. Make it so it works independantly from the stat sceen so if the cap is upped, you can still hunt mobs / newer added mobs, boom. That way can still gain a tiny amount of stats and still farm w/e you want. Sorted.
