"IPHIOS"Don't agree style. You'd be as well bow to cap - maximise dex then go to the new map for your str to get the most out of ur pre 100 exp. new mobs would need bonus removed completely imo ;o

disagree Pure bow is the hardest grind and thus you should be rewarded for it.. we all knew cap would be raised one day.. Also think it balances out as those who made the choice to cap their str and xp now have been able to take advantage of more drops/upgrades/boss kills . People that play the slow gain dont get this so we deserve the sat bonus. ( keep to lvl 100+ map so only the pure grinders get this bonus and not low levels)

"BRAINDATA"
Re stat bonus: People who rushed to cap just gotta deal with it imo.. If I wanna pure bow grind it with shit Str for God knows how long then I deserve better stats at the end cus it's hard work!! We all had a level playing field here, you chose your build knowing full well the cap would be raised one day.

lol because if plum went pure bow too he'd only be capping now? Get real. Your not entailed to more before you chose a specific weapon an if you put in the same hours as plum you'd be capped ages ago too.

To be honest I planned my char from the very beginning, deciding to get my crafting done first so as to have the srs to be able to hunt without to much bother. When I started to hunt I looked at the way most were levelling and seeing that people were doing mainly int/str for fast levelling I went pure bow. The risk for me was that if the level cap was not raised I would end up with a char that would be almost useless as I would have little int and not enough str to hurt people.

The people who went for int/str took the risk that if the level cap was raised they would be lacking dex and would struggle to gain the dex to catch up with a pure bow char where as the pure bow char because of low str would be able to catch up with str and int very easily in comparison, but if the cap was not raised they would be very strong chars.

Therfore in my opinion I would say let the level cap be raised and put in a very slightly increased str mob to allow the str /int chars to grind out the dex as best they can but not allowing them to gain as much stats as someone who has done the full grind.

Then it is upto those chars to decide if they want to grind 10 more lvles trying to get more dex or str/int.

So you're saying the only viable way to remain competitive within this server is to pick bow as your primary weapon and never use anything else. Equally ridiculous. Leveling speed was never our issue which ofc would've been slower with bow.

I though this server was a push away from the whole "every c**t uses bow". Which depending how cap raising is handled - it has been so far. The game is considerably better for that as can be seen with variance of capped players.

if you read everything I wrote you will see that even though I might have very good dex at end I will have to chose str or int to compliment the dex which means I will lack one or the other.

hence why I get 2 hit by most mages in game atm.

therefore it will be the same for the str/int chars who lack dex which is the choice they made from the start.

Major flaw in your theory:
You can do int/str when caps are raised and have a very good char
Someone who is past 131 str gets dex relatively slow and after 156 dex is just pointless.

So no its not the same.

Replied to brain/skatt - just can't quote on the phone. Never seen your reply ;o

However the choice at the start of the game argument doesn't hold weight when the hard dex cap was removed when people were already level 80+. Planning a char counted for shit thereafter. No one would be dexing had that not been removed and pure bow would not be viable. You'd have picked up an axe along with everyone else.

I will struggle to cap str and get good enough int not to be 2 hit by the time I finish dex.
when you consider that people with 130+ int get 2 hit by capped mages and I will not have enough lvls to cap str and get the int required so it is not flawed tbh

Doent matter when cap goes up you will be able to catch up str / int. Iphios cant catch up on dex.

I am including the possible increase in cap in my calculations tbh

Still doesnt matter, when cap goes up you can catch up on str / int. Iphios cant catch up on dex even if he wanted to.

I'm not saying it's the same but clearly the hardest levelers would of capped ages ago regardless of if they were pure bow or pure int.

Lot of arguments here seems to be 'serves you right for not being pure bow' and 'we should be rewarded for being pure bow'.

I'd hoped this server had moved on from the Myth of Bows that was esoma. Maybe anyone using a spear should be rewarded for adding some diversity to the game while we're at it.
