time for lev cap + mayb?

Raise cap and make all weapons after lvl 100 give exactly the same str/dex gains.
Diversify weapon choices by balancing auras and introducing new auras at 170skill and 200skill.
This will hopefully give a good spread of classes. Possibly introduce new class armours at lvl 105 and 110.
This means the str based chars can still gain dex, and the dex based chars who have worked on dex to 100 still maintain their advantage.

I honestly think something radical like the above is required to keep the balance, because otherwise we will be left with certain builds feeling like they have been fk'd over.

On topic. Whilst there's some sympathy for the ''dont give us a lev cap + yet so we can catch up'' .. Remeber , mmorpgs have always been about the time invested.. Some ppl have put in the hours to cap, and are now left with no stats to gain and less reason to play. New quests are a good way of filling some time. But..
stats are needed.. we want str/dex and int..we put the hours in.... we dont want to wait for '' people to catch up''...

Nobody moaned at lev 35 that other characters were lev 70 or 80 .. so no-one should moan that they are level 80 or 90 and someone else might be level 110 or 120..theres no difference.

More levels.. more stats.. more competiton.. more playing for every1 .. busier server...

Atm its a bit like waiting for xmas.......... oh..... ye... :p

Its a credit to soma the game..and the way the gms have ran things here.. i think isylv and co didnt expect so many ppl to level so quickly whether lev 70's or lev 100's..

Now there's a bit of a limbo as how to further things..

New additions are very welcome, though i think most ppl dont kno or understand most of the new adds/pots n potions introduced recently. Imo, all we need is basic str/dex/ int.. then we can click and kill..gain stats..and have half an eye on the tv too.

This is the best idea so far, Infact if recalculations of stats were possible i'd say remove dex all together and revamp all the auras to give new unique buffs ect to them making the weapons you choose totally for pvp purposes whether that be adding utility to a team fight or having a dodge aura that blocks for example 1 in 5 attacks.

but old habits die hard eh?

It's this attitude that has led to no improvement of soma over the years, I mean yes it's been improved but in terms of balance it's still miles away removing dex would be awesome No more myth-of-archers.com no more dsoma archer or gtfo the theory I used would recalculate stats anyway meaning you wouldn't of spent more hours for the same stats you would be ahead for spending more hours.

How many games do you see nowerdays where you can gain a stat that makes you unhittable, LITERALLY unhittable because it's possible here if It was to happen elsewhere it would be nerfd after a week, nobody wants to play a game where you cant hit the other guy or not being able to cast because of you choosing to be a mage, soma needs to be made more "friendly" for example somebody joins new now... lvl 1 picks up a sword never played soma before, spends 1000 hours over the next 6 months playing and finally thinks hey I've been training really hard for 6 months i'm going to go to gvw I know I wont do much dmg but atleast I can take away 20 hp a hit on stone holder gets there CANT HIT A THING I don't know about you but if I just spent 6 months semi hardcore i'd expect to be able to get involved in a fight, i'm not saying anyones unhittable yet but believe me it will happen.

Fact of the matter is lvling after 100 cannot be as it is now. It will ruin the game.

Also , you have worked no harder than anyone else. Infact nux is one of the fastest levelling routes so just because you get less dex than strength, doesn't make it anymore difficult and time consuming.

You have a biased view which everyone will. That is why lvling after 100 is changed as to impact everyone evenly.

All classes should have an even playing ground if I want to go spear or sword why shouldn't I seriously?

And for the guys complaining 'bow is harder to lvl with' try spear after wraiths it just goes downhill with no defensive aura what so ever so should spear users be granted an automatic advantage... oh wait they all went bow.
I'll argue with anyone over the 'I spent thousands of hours going bow I should be ahead even if that sword user there has spent more hours playing than me I had it harder' theory.
I don't actually play soma anymore so it's not like i'm saying it because I didn't go pure bow because my char is low enough to convert and have the advantages you guys have also.

Disagree ... people shouldn't make their stat choices based on future level cap increases. At the moment you make your choices based on how you will end up at max level (which is 100 am). Will you cap str and have lesser dex .. will you cap int? Do you want to be a tank like iphios and have decent str and dex? ...

Each time max cap level is increased, GMS will have to think about the consequences for players so that they will not be fucked up cause they capped str with a decent amount of dex (105ish). Bring out higher str mobs is a simple solution for this. Str chars can start dex training then first before they cap str again and still end up with decent dex (ofc less than pure dex chars as it should be)

Why does your str influences dex gains and not the other way around anyways??

That still doesn't solve the problem of having to do bow at some point on your journey

The problem with adding new levels under the current structure would pull more ppl towards bow / axe, or they risk being even further behind the curve at level 120 etc.

The reality is a level cap increase would be genocide for all weapons other than axe, bow and staff.

Why use nuk / spear combo from 100 - 120 when axe / bow will yield say 10 more str and 5 more dex?

If you are axe .. bow is just a must have to level also.

The discussion is about people who capped str at level 100 (or even just above 156 str) ... when cap level is raised and they still only have BLG to hunt for dex they are screwed since dex will take too much %.

There wouldnt be these balancing issues if there were no cap. They should just completly lift the cap imo

I'll be on to watch gvw tonight my friend if you want to have a granny do it in pm then, I feel the last few comments are a real big push from a few players towards sorting some sort of balance and it's only 10 am so more will come i'm sure don't try and start a shit storm. please ty xxxxxxxxxxxxx
