A community poll for everyone to be involved in

Author Content Date
This is a poll to find out the top 3-5 things that you the whole community would like to see implemented in game. It can be anything that you feel would make your time on Soma more enjoyable, make you want to log on.

So all you have to do is post one thing, i.e. A new tier of weapons, a new set of armour melee or magic, a new mob, new set of spells etc

This is your Soma, so what would make you enjoy this great game even more?

I will re post the top 3-5 most mentioned that you would like to see implemented and pass them onto the GM's and see what can be created.

Submissions need to be in by Saturday 12th October at noon GMT so they can go into the chat on Sunday 13th October so that people can join in on discord text.

This community poll is by Foxtrck and Ravensoul

We are literally open to any ideas big or small, look forward to reading everyone's suggestions.

No regression via breaking at anvil - preferably +1 with no stat increase along with the removal of combo.

Only problem with your plan for only the crafting item breaking imo Raven is that people would
finish gear too quickly just stock up 30 tabs then keep clicking until +8.

That said any improvement would be great whichever form it ends up taking.

Edit: Modify drop files for all mobs, make unhunted mobs drop useful stuff if there not going to be used for levelling.

Closely followed by:

Remove need to create +50 route super chars and healers.
Remove crafting cap but cap bag weight gain at 400 or 470.

Better drops

And when I say better drops just chucking double drops on wont cut it as it dosnt seem to make a difference to alot of normal dsoma mobs, can tell it's on at mags

Nega weap

They have been ingame for awile now but not many use or have, this is due to 2 reasons

The wis req on them needs removing, ppl feel like it needs them to nerf there char in order to use

The new nega dmg isn't enough to make be viable to use rare tag, (under current top ints weaps) so devils have to combine for intense, and theres just not enough nega weaps to combine and then upgrade

1.Healing int needs to be quicker.. current system is only viable after 50-60 if u do it afk.

2.Could make con quicker ..it isn't massively difficult, but a put off, particularly for any 'real' new players.

3. Anvil needs to be less harsh. Making viable, competitive gear is way too difficult and probably the biggest obstacle and reason why many people quit or decide they just don't have the time.

4.Remove crafting cap.. let 1 character craft all professions to max if they have time, and maybe another crafting rate speed increase so that people are kept ingame and active rather than looking for sr's all the time.

5. Some quests or new mobs or items added to drop files for body/mind/soul shards/nega tears etc.

6.And if technically possible. guild village on every map.. multiple gvw's ..different nights..only 1 guild can hold 1 map .. x2 drops for winners on that map..( useful farming mobs on every map ) etc etc

1) Faster levelling and perm double exp until level 100. Will keep new players engaged. I know people like myself aren't too happy as put a lot of time into my noob, but we are trying to encourage new people.

2) Drop files to drop level appropriate gear and a bit more often. Maybe tablet of lesser evil to have like 80% succ because it barely takes anything off anyway and noobs will get slightly faster weapons.

3) Multis that have their items "stolen" should not have them returned, puts off people playing when this is the only downside to multi'ing.

4) I believe crafting rates are fine it's supposed to be a pain in the ass, kick in the teeth to those that have got crafting up high. I agree with Lupi and to have the cap taken off.

5) Not sure what to do on the anvil as I believe it shouldn't be easy to make +5 gear, better drop rate will help this. Maybe a 100% succ +1 as suggested by Deamond a while ago.

6) Con should be left as it is, I believe its easy enough and you have 119 levels to do it. Healing for int, maybe have a dummy you can heal for int so it least it takes the dual screening aspect away. Maybe even a dummy that gaines con.

Hsoma

Healing needs looking at, basically force ppl to go afk

The 50+ bonus needs reducing to mobs str, to open up the viability of hunting all mobs and not jumping straight to vod

1/ Fix the anvil

2/ make int to 100 and con to 30 at x1000 rates

3/ make all mobs give +50 rates.

4/ Keep drops at x2 permanently

5/ reduce all mobs drop files to no more than say 20 items and make these items relevant to the level that they would normally be hunted at.

Healing for int needs to be made at least 100x faster.

Double exp permanently.

I'd rather not have new mobs / level cap / weps until the balance up until 100 int and +50 bonus route is made more realistic.

I think just remove healing for int altogether. Healing to 100 means you can jump straight to nightmare missing out on all ints mobs but the last few. Accept that the people that bothered to do it will get their extra 1 dex at current cap.

Could you be a little more specific with **why** you are asking the question please Ravensoul?

What I mean is, are you asking because the GMs would like to give the community something or are you looking to fix/improve elements of the game?

Jac

I think main item to discuss is Anvil

I think one of the best ideas being thrown around / discussed is that if an upgrade fails then the item doesnt break but still gains a +

E.g. if you have a +3DP (all successes) helmet its 5% evasion. If you next DP fails then the helmet stays on 5% evasion but the item goes to +4.

This way everyone will be able to make semi decent gear but the hardcote people will still have to try hard to max out their gesr or make stronger +8 weps/armour than everyone else
