think ul find rested is an issue after lev 70+ whether u log in town or not. Fin said earlier he was upping rested till lev 90? That's a good start for helping mid levs to catch up. idc what speed ups there are.. but its a fine balance to keep mid levs and capped players happy considering the vast difference of hours/ time invested.

You'd rather the rates wernt increased just because you don't want people to level to 90 odd in 500 hours less then you did? Surely you'd rather have the game more active lol. 99% of capped players would rather it happen to make more people play regularly, it's really just you.
Look at the bigger picture, look past the forge.

How would you feel if u was a ''casual player'' and had invested some pretty serious hours over the last 10-12 months, whatever, and was in ur lev 80's or 90's .. like many players are .. and all of a sudden lev 10-20-30s are given some massive speed boost and they catch up in a few weeks? Like i say idc...but there are plenty of players that would. Gm's try give the speed boosts ie increased rested levels in increments..so it stays relatively fair to all, while trying to help the lower levs. has to be some kind of balance .. won't suit all. Soma was never meant to be easy .. but its not too difficult and seems pretty well balanced atm. Speed ups incoming.. just play and stop whining tbh. Seems there are still a few players that have had their noses put out of joint by not getting the rewind they asked for, and like to post here with constant moaning. Updates, new material is the way forward. Most players recognise that.

"GOTWEPS"I think not having a rate increase in this patch is a mistake, rested isn't really an issue to anyone who logs out in a town, players are lost between level 50-90 because of the slowdowns with no 'fun' (pvp gvw wow) content participation worth while until 90+ imo Yeah man increase the rates, its boring as fuck when you hit the slow downs. Using the same weapon for 40+ skill is shit and hunting the same mob for so long is fucking toss. Change it Fin, cheers mate.

I'm capped now and have been for a good while. but i do think that the rates could do with a speed up until lvl 90 or so, the first time i really took a break was around lvl 70-75 when i realized that i wouldn't be able to take part in wow until well into lvl 90's (knux) that really put me off lvling anymore because it seemed like such a grind to get to that stage to actually have a chance at contributing to wow.
Just want to add that this is not the case for all classes (Dsoma) my swordie (mithril) is lvl 91 and he is much more adept at killing humans than strike granted this is down to the power of 5th sword mainly. In my own opinion speeding up the lvling rates to lvl 90 for example would possibly be the best thing to increase the player count, the way things stand this could possibly be the only way. I don't really play at all very much anymore but i greatly appreciate all the effort you guys are still putting into the game. One point still stands that the joy of soma is directly influenced by the user count, and if you cant find a way to boost that back up then everything else positive going on at the moment is useless. Im hoping with the new changes it gives me some motivation to play again, but the way things stand at the moment i don't want to spend countless hours lvling any of my alts to be at a stage i can join in with all events without seeing another person hunting or even having anyone in guild chat. Keep up the good work anyways and hope you find a way to drag the server back from the brink

In two minds about coming back to play now, was really hoping for a slight rates increase rather than just more rested as i've been 100% rested for probably well over a year now, it's just not fast enough for me but then again i don't have a huge amount of time to dedicate to hunting.
Then again if drops are made to be more varied and interesting it could very well bring back the fun factor to the hunt.

Whats the point in upping restyed without upping rates it's not like any mid 70's can get out of rested without 1000000000 hours and fast bow.

Let me explain it for dummies/Middle Aged alcoholic tin hat wearing soma players/anyone else :
This is a very complex game, with a lot of time needed that is circa 15 years old. It has been losing players for a long time and in its current state with so many players gone has 1 majorly dominant guild on hsoma and dsoma. They need people to catch up and give them competition or no doubt they will start leaving if they haven't already. Of the few new players that do find this game game, how many do you think would play on past 50 or 60? When 99.9% of all the fun only stsrts at 85ish+ and the major slows kick in? It's time to kick the soma should and has always been a grind argument in the bucket, someone called plum capped in a year, someone called 187 capped even quicker. Every game needs new blood and new players. And soma also has LOTS of players who quit at 60-75 when the slows started. Rested ain't gonna get them back they have had 100% for a year now. It's very toxic how the only idea you support is extra bones in an abias shop like that's going to cure any of the problems this game faces and you chat rubbish and flame every other good idea. You have 3 capped chars, and soma is a gear game. You should have such a gear advantage over any player capping out quickly it won't even matter.

Also the majority of people who are all soma veterans and played the original dsoma I would say are 24-32 with house/job/wife/kids not a 10 year old with no responsibilities and hours to put in. Changes should be made to reflect this shift in life balance as anyone signing up I would guess is doing it for nostalgia not because they have 10 hours a day to put into a 2D game

"OPENTHEDOOR"Let me explain it for dummies/Middle Aged alcoholic tin hat wearing soma players/anyone else : Lost it at the very first sentence rofl but fully agree with what's been said here. Most proper casual players cannot hack the grind and walk, even hardcore players get bored and take a break sometimes lasting months at a time.
