The wep cache from quests like 2.5k wbm should be changed to top weps only as everyone hunting wbm only has need for these and nothing lower
Rewards for quests could be better -10k magma's which are un huntable for one piece of omni is outrageous
Boss drops are way off, insane pamoth takes 20mins to kill with several people drops only hardened wep most of the time- maybe five another use for shards? Collected per each kill maybe so many trade for a tagged piece of armour/wep etc

Either way keep up the good work, ignoring some negativity I'm sure everyone appreciates the effort it takes

Tow/ct drops should be added to other mobs (like previously suggested NM should defo drop as their drop file is awful for a final mob)
Rested doesn't regenerate fast enough lvl 70+ to make it viable to hunt each day
Magmas drops were previously upped but seem horrendous atm, other people then pap can and do hunt mags but it is hard for lower int chars as they get smashed fast
Sr shop would be a good addition but maybe at 50k as players would sell
More repeatable quests for lvl 100s
Weapons caches from quests should be restricted to higher tiers and a chance of -m tag might be fun
Warnings that your items are low dura/about to break shouldn't be red, maybe a teal or white would be easier to see
Random events like Dan used to do always get players online
Abyss was a useful map as not many other mobs drop diamonds
Yes there are +6/+7 etc items in game but the amount of failures is off the charts still
More quests at lvl 60/70
There are many mobs that are never used, maybe these could be upcycled
Alt gems on conti mobs is awesome but maybe they could be added to some others

A lot of the people who left don't give a crap about drops, mob stats per % and quests, they care about pvp

Making guilds smaller (reducing the number of people with trace + increasing number of enemies) and playing around with the benefits of holding gv/ increasing competition between guilds is what needs to be done to bring back the usercount

I'd suggest any1 with a perma ban had more than enough chances not to be an ass.. their presence was bad for soma as it is now.. don't want them back causing trouble in a new, improved soma... imo ;o

A lot of the above I don't think will really help. The main isssue is player base, I don't see many ideas to help with that. You are not getting any players back playing by increasing bones or sorting out a new boss. Like acaelis I thought the game beyond help, but that post is good from you Finito, but it does seem like the boy who cried wolf with regards to a new update.

Face the hard truth that with soma the game and age it is, there won't be any new players playing or very few and all updates should be focussed on getting people back playing and keeping existing people playing.

Wasting time on the politics of unbanning people is also silly. I doubt there is more than 3 banned people who don't have access to other chars if and when required and I doubt this would increase any user numbers.

There are 3 types of players :

No lifers
casuals
Pvp/competitive

No lifers - no short term fixes available
The likes of your Lupiscus's, Lyon's and VIPQG's. These guys have multiple capped chars, 15k or more hours. Take any suggestions with a pinch of salt. They aren't quitting anytime soon and will never leave and just want things to make the ingame actions they will do regardless easier. This is a very small part of the community and doesn't really have an impact on how stale the game is right now.

Casuals
Increase all monster levelling rates
Increase rested to 90
Give every account the option to make a "free" account of the opposite race of the same level
Change mob stats. Currently it's blg or NM for life. Make Xenomorph or Orc warriors the same stats as blg for something different and different drop files. It's really annoying that it's 2 mobs only for 2k hours of time in hsoma


PVP/competitive players - biggest user count/most players who have left

I will address the biggest elephant in the room, 95% of people who have left this group have sold or broken all their items. So it is a challenge to get chars and players back, and not a simple solution.

Making magma's a no PK zone
Make magmas in conti or for the race who owns conti double or triple current drop rate
Make new weapons armours and accessories that mean people who have left can get back to speed quickly but also improvements for current players (these need to be easily accessible (new hero quest?) Ivory armour? -p weapons? This need to be fairly easily accessible
Give everyone a new choice of the original 4 hero parts
Give everyone on hsoma 2 SR's (not crafting skill, any crafting skill would add to this total)
Give dsoma hero weapons (bow +25 str, axe +25 Dex ect ect)
Gvw like wow on a % might help
Have gypsy shop and devil shop sell the exact same things tyt shop does, same with gv shop
Have more area scrolls for mob spawns available (this will help pvp also)
Remove SS it's pointless instead spawn 8 bosses for wow winners and 2 bosses inside gv hut for gv winners
Make guilds 10 or 15
Increase party to same size as guild size

Name more than 3 banned players who don't have access to play a char if they wanted to play it honestly wouldn't increase anything just upset more people than it would bring back

Nothing I have said isn't true Lupi or for the better of the game.

It could be 2020 and you are the last player left you would still want bones and be crafting.

You are not going anywhere and need to put personal pride aside for the good of the game.
