For me it's all drops.
Tag system in its current form is ruining any enjoyment from Dsoma - last time I had an epic weapon drop was about 30 levels ago. Yes I've had a few decent rares but mostly as good as hardened.
Maybe make magmas huntable?
I know these things will change in the patch it's just hard to keep interst going. As I said in ideas thread:

- A fair chance of a decent weapon.
- A working tag system.
- High end mobs that actually drop stuff (even when server was populated dsoma drops sucked but you'll probably fix hsoma quick as they're moaning about it)
- Bosses worth the time of day. (EDW fir example in Hwan/IC huge waste)
- More repeatable quests (Fix wbm one from being awful- had 4 untag axe of wreckage)
- Dsoma Dungeon Levek 2, door below shiro, drops orientated.
- Magmas Huntable. (Since you now admit INT is messed up, not so long ago when a dsoma player complained about magmas you told them to go get some INT...)
- NPC to change dropped weps for chance of decent wep like Fin mentioned.
- More interaction between Dsoma and Hsoma.
- NPC to help new players with gear.
- focus less on team work ideas - player base is a struggle - ATM a team at magmas would be every active player- unlikely.

You have to restore a little hope.

Also, having just hit Invuln armour range it's damn hard to get. The only huntable mob is Elite Guards which are bad for XP and annoying to hunt. I don't enjoy having to rely on other people to get armour, would be nice if it dropped from relevant mobs. (Kharil Liz, for example).

DSoma in general just seems completely implausible to gear by yourself while levelling. Don't know if it's the same for HSoma.

"FINITO"First off, you are not going to get banned for posting constructive feedback. Banning happens because someone ends up turning it into a flame war (Please don't do this).

The beta test is to just have more than me play on a server with all the system changes to avoid there being any major bugs that might happen on the actual server if we was to just put it straight onto that. Also to gather some quick feedback on new systems introduced and see if we need to make a change before launch.

Also with the upcoming level cap raise, we ideally do need to get all the in changes in at the same time otherwise you end up pushing small changes that constantly change the mechanics of the game and that is not fun for anyone, basically changes containing a lot of balance changes are best done in bulk.

There have been plenty of times (even the current event) where mistakes have happened on the server and had to reboot to fix things. Having a beta test server for patches will hopefully prevent this from happening.

With regards to the event I just re-used last years because it seems most enjoyed it and its only a yearly event. The halloween boss drops have been updated. I assumed the rewards for the letters are still ok.

What worthwhile events do you want though? Things like WotW, GVW, SS? Or things like GM spawning NPCs? The main issue with the spawning of NPCs is what do we make them drop and who is able to take part. We do not want to just flood the server with items although by accident last years xmas event was a bit too crazy.

There is no competition you say, so what will help to create that? Other than the changes already coming.

Why do you want the new mobs in TYT or Merc? Also I have given some thought about moving spawns around (mostly devil soma though).

Also in general it would be more useful if feedback given contains some ideas and suggestions for fixing the issues raised. It will help speed up the process of getting changes into the game.

I'll be honest here, I have not kept that up-to-date with the actual content, I spend most of the time working on the tech behind everything. With Dan being busy I need to start getting up to speed with it and pushing content changes myself.

How exactly will the change of guild size help? My fear with changing it any lower is that they become too small to actually be guilds. Are there any other options?

With regards to wiping the server, we really never want this to happen, this server is supposed to show that a long lasting soma server is actually possible (even if it might not seem like that right now).

Anyway, I would like to ask a question, right now, before the level cap raise patch (so excluding those changes), what can we do quickly to improve the current situation?


I was going to post something realy negative basicly saying anything you do now is a complete waste of time as far as the server goes. However this is one of the best posts made on here from a Gm. Hopefully if your around abit more there maybe hope.

Have been at ebs for approx 25lvls and never had a knuckle drop (my main wep) which has made me rely on others kindness (mainly thehood) to supply me with any knucks from 60+ skill all the way to top end 121 knuck (up to rare tag).
never been able to repay the favour as ive had maybe 2 hard grims. I have had a few rare AoA and BT spears but they are usually bad compared to any knights / axers. Then giving drops away to help newer players.

Ok imo some quick fixes

- increase the leveling speed again on all the mobs upto and including Nm and Blg (I would increase it significantly)

-free rested all the way up to atleast level 90. As some one with 3 capped chars I would have no issues giving others a leg up and would be happy for it to go to level 100.

- add more level 100 quests with good rewards for poeple to do while we wait for the cap

-increase mags drop rates

- At level 100 get an alt char on the oposing race

- a timed boss like Archeon out of town once a day to pvp over

- a % based gvw like WoW where the owners get weakend

-add a npc to town that sells weps and armour upto about blood bow/shadow to make it easier for noobs as no one has or sells noob stuff like back in the day

- make a sr Npc 100k a pop

- make sure leveling past 100 is slow and poeple are not sat capped for 2 years+

- maybe its time to consider unbanning poeple?

No thank you, would just end up with lvl 100 humans login devils purly to pk, enough has quit on hsoma over this

Not taking that into account I spose it would make numbers up for gvw

The cap is raising and if its faster 0-100 they will be stronger then the alts or Fin could just make it so the free alts could not pk chsrs below lvl 100..

"HURRICANE"There are a few improvements people would like to see.

Bring back the abyss. People enjoyed hunting abyss for quest items. Just up the drop rate.

Make some bosses like GDG. For example MWUN from abyss. Do boxes to make it spawn. This brings guilds together and go on a big hunt and gives others the chance to attend. The current situation with bosses at the moment is, once the dominating guild arrives, they pk people off the boss.

Dont make upgrades easier. There is alot of +6,+7,+8 items. If anything, make upgrades go to +10. This gives people a new challenge, but keep the success rate same as +8 for +9 and +10.

Up all drop rates as the usercount is at a all time low.

Sort magma beasts lords out as they are a joke. Make them less powerful so you can hunt a couple at a time.

Make levelling to 90 close to 2x what it is now.

Raise level cap.

3 Second cooldown on feathers.

max limit of carrying 3 revive scrolls.

Get rid of merc, pointless map (move mobs to tyt, get rid of every mob not used)

Make other weapons viable, apart from axe, bow, staff

Make it so more than papapilas can hunt magma's

Get rid of pointless bosses, add useful ones. Most T8 bosses are rubbish, and camped.

Unban everyone and reset it to a two strikes you're out rule, currently a lot of people are banned

PK gives some kind of reward; obviously balanced so can't be exploited (unknown what that is, because at the moment you only lose moral)

Agreed on owners of guild village lose 5% strength per time won, to a min of 80% (possible figures)

Don't listen to any of Lupi's selfish crafting ideas, just make a server for him to play on his own

selfish? i spent months crafting.. i give many away and i help ppl by crafting for them... whats ur name and what do you do to help ppl?

What puts me off returning is having to lvl up again, and with suggestions of making the Lvling speed even slower past 100 just makes that decision easy for me, I just don't have the time or patience anymore.

I refuse to pay a pilot like most people have done but I honestly don't blame them for doing so.

The server was good for the first couple of years but for me it has now ran its course.

The only reason I would play again is for the pvp/event side of things.

I believe usercount is the most important thing even if we were stuck at lvl 100 for another few years as long as there is a steady flow of new quests/items/bosses etc it would keep people around.
